How long before Americans clone an ***? :D
*Ba-dum-tish*
No really, I love Americans. All my best friends are American.
I bypassed the censor because there is no reason to censor that word when referring to an animal and I'm just a rebel like that.

America already has. In fact we have already cloned enough species and breeds of animals to open a huge petting zoo. People seem to forget that America absolutely stomps on every other countries nuts with golf cleats when it comes to horticulture and animal husbandry.

That would be nice actually, considering they are an endangered species.

Cloning is a crime against Evolution! With the genes of Yesteryear being reintroduced into the mix, how will sheep and dogs and camels ever become tentacled?!

So much irony and so many possible racist jokes.

No, the first ever clone was the sheep cloned in Scotland.

China is the destination of a large majority of the world's poached and endangered animals. A lot of them still think that snorting a ground up tiger's penis will give them a boner.

This post was unusually sexual.

Can someone clone me a female version of my body and put my brain into it? I would like to have at least 10 spare bodies. And at least one that is based on Chuck Norris. And then I can be like Sigma from the Mega Man X series, so if my body gets destroyed I will get a newer one.

All that would result in is a tiger's penis in your nose.
The Chinese may have had a head start in civilization over most of the world but they've really fallen behind recently.

Not at the moment. Our leading scientists are currently in the process of producing a human-feline hybrid.
A cat-girl if you will.

Don't knock on the cat girls. There's lot of positive traits to gain from feline.
Like balance, low-light vision, cute fuzzy ears and a tail XD
Imagine human stamina mixed in with the explosive power of feline muscle!

2^ Our "leading scientists" have put catgirl research on hold while they are obsessed with Milly Ashford IIRC

But if the camel went and had babies isn't that cloning anyway? Reproduction or whatever.

No. Cloning and sexual reproduction are not the same thing.

Cloning produces an individual that is genetically identical to the parent. Sexual reproduction produces offspring that get some DNA from each parent and are genetically distinct from both.

I think that's more along the lines of genetic modification, and not cloning.

It's like this. Say we take one of your gals (ovum) and 'hollow it out' or remove your genetic material from the nucleus. Then, we find a hobo and extract some DNA...perhaps from a wart or toe gunk. We then insert his toe jam into your egg, pop it into your 'baby pouch,' cook 9 months, and voila, pure hobo, for the most part.
I don't see cloning help anything endangered, at least, not in the Wilds. You can clone a gazillion pandas, it won't matter if they have nowhere to go home to. Also, if they're all cramped together and whatnot, inbreeding will occur. That's the downfall of many a-species.
AND, cloning isn't as easy as, "Oh, if we take this toe jam and one of Jia's gals, we'll get a baby wino." From what I've read, you're going to have more losses and miscarriages than successes, and some animals are EXTREMELY difficult to clone, others impossible (at the moment, at least). Oh, and the money. Just sayin'.
Now, if you want to look at the cute little bear behind the glass, it's all good. If the zoo has the money, I suppose.

I always thought of China as being in its own little world (and distrusting of outsiders). It has its poor parts, wealthy parts, technologically advanced parts, argriculture-with-wooden-wagons parts...
