A city councilman in Utah , Mark Easton, had a beautiful view of the east mountains, until a new neighbor purchased the lot below his house and
built a new home. The new home was 18 inches higher than the ordinances
would allow, so Mark Easton, mad about his lost view, went to the city to
make sure they enforced the lower roof line ordinance.

The new neighbor had to drop the roof line, at great expense.

Recently, Mark Easton called the city, and informed them that his new neighbor had installed some vents on the side of his home.

Mark didn't like the look of these vents and asked the city to investigate.

When they went to Mark's home to see what the vents looked like, this is what they found...

The City Council said the vents can stay since there is no ordinance referring to shutter design.

What's that old saying, "Win the battle ... but lose the war."

I hope he retaliates by taking a dump in their bushes.

That is fantastic.

I hope he retaliates by taking a dump in their bushes.

I knew a guy who rubbed dog crap all over his neighbour's door because their dog kept defecating on his lawn.

Would have been funnier if the vents where in the design of someone Mooning at the guy from his window.

Whatever he paid for those shutters, they're worth it. Hell, if he'd have put up a website to handle the donations, I'd have chipped in $5 for them.

The CBLDF can go pound sand, but this would be a Noble Cause.

I hope he retaliates by taking a dump in their bushes.

He doesn't deserve retaliation, as he's the instigator here.

I kinda feel bad for the guy who lost his view, though. I guess people building houses is inevitable, but it just seems kind of sad to have someone's perfect view ruined by a house like that.

It was kind of a **** move forcing the neighbor to lower his roofline, though the company that built the house should have been aware of that limitation before the roof was even put on.

At that distance, 18 inches makes no difference, so that guy still deserves a middle finger.

^If keeping his view meant so much to the idiot, he should have bought that lot to prevent others from building on it.

I don't think 14 inches would really kill a view anyway.

He totally deserves that.

Yes he does. Neighbor disputes can be crazy. I have a buddy who had a small cabin next to a lot that was the summer home for a big CEO type. My buddy's place was old and had been zoned right next to the water (on the ocean). Well the CEO didn't like my buddy's trees block his view of the water so he asked if he could cut a couple down. My buddy said no, he was sorry but the trees helped isolate him and he like them. He left town for a month only to come back and find a dozen trees cut down.

The neighbor said he had no idea how it had happened.

What kind of bag is that again?

Oh yeah, Douche.
