Let's hope she forgot a sponge somewhere. Wait, no. :uhh: No, I don't know how to punish the supervisor in this situation.
Maybe find out which car is his and discreetly get out your keys while walking by...

Jerk, I hope if he has surgery, he has it at that hospital where the nurses remember him....

Timing was way off. Not very professional at all. The supervisor didn't think that this might negatively affect the surgery? I know according to the article it didn't but something like getting fired tends to make people lose focus. For a nurse and all the responsibilities on their plate, concentration and attention to certain details should not be clouded at such a time. It could have waited until afterwards. She had no reason to stay after hearing the news and the patient's surgery could have gone in another direction.

Keys, in the hands of an irate or vindictive woman, can be a car's worst enemy. Do you want to share any experiences with us Shiroiyuki. ^_^

It is so rare that it should be elevated to the status of a super power.

Let's just say if you were a Jeep Wrangler you'd be wetting your pants right about now.

Hi nurse. Listen I know your in surgery here..but..uhm yeah i'm afraid we're gonna have to let you go.
1 hour later the guy in surgery wakes up still opened and everything.
Guy in surgery then says: "LADY! Just what the heck did you do!?!?"
The Nurse then says: "Oh i'm soooo sorry sir. But during to procedure i got fired. Its out of my hands now."
Seriously how do you like this. I'm with Lacan. Common sense is dead. :(

I think that someone once said something like, "Common sense is a collection of prejudices acquired by adulthood." It might have been Einstein or Erasmus, I do not know. Anyway, sometimes those prejudices make sense and sometimes they are just ridiculous.

That sounds like something the place I work at would do

Lemmings seem to think 'common sense' means running off cliffs.
I wish some people would adopt this strategy.

^ I think that is a myth about lemmings but it would help stimulate the economy by creating work for mortuaries and whoever you would call to collect corpses from the bottom of a chasm.

And so our country starts anew, built on the backs of those who pull death carts around collecting bodies.

Well the next time her manager's in the hospital we'll know why the doctors and nurses couldn't be there to make him human again.

Hey Shiroiyuki im just a little curious. Are you monty python fan? Or do you just happen to love the Holy grail movie? Its defently one of my favorites.
Bring out your dead.
I love that punchline! :D
You know this story also reminds me of that witch scene in the movie where they decided that she was a witch if she wiegh less then the duck. The scale was soo riged and the unfortunate lady got the axe. Well maybee not an axe but i thought its poetic with this story.
Still i feel sorry for this nurse in the story. That just sucks. Hopefully she won't be out of work for long. I know theres always a demand for medical help.

Both. I love Monty Python (especially John Cleese and Eric Idle :P), and I especially love the Holy Grail.

How so? We know nothing of this nurse or the real story behind it. She might have been known as the Angel of Death or some such and they decided immediate action was necessary! Or not, but seriously don't just jump to conclusions.
The story, as far as I can tell, was more about the violation of protocol than the violation of this nurse's rights as an employee. Maybe she wouldn't put out.

Awesome! :D Some of there stuff cracks me up at time.
About the witch part i was talking about i was using that to show the stupidity of what this guy did. Laying off the nurse while shes in the middle of surgery!? Bad idea like how the people listened to the monty python knight on solving the witch problem. Make more sense now?
Fortunatly the situation wasn't that bad. However in the end were only human right and i bet something like that can truly effect ones self esteem like some were pointing out in earlier posts. Hope that clears up.
