Ok it is out, 16 pages. It end with Naruto destroying Pain with Rasengan. So is it finally over or at least for now it is.

I wouldn't see too much into that. The translators decided to turn up the heat and were a tad liberal with that translation. Don't confuse envy with jealousy.

I think it's great that he finished it with the original. Not only was it symbolic, but it also displayed classic Naruto traits. Something powerful and surprising that finishes the fight, such as his classic headbutt against Gaara to end the threat to Konoha.

But whether the original Rasengan is powerful enough is very questionable.

The original Rasengan was powerful enough to tear apart Pain's first body. Then, the Rasengan Combos took out two other bodies. Only one body was actually turned to dust by the Rasenshuriken, so I'd say that the original Rasengan is more than enough to defeat a Pain body... or any body for that matter. At the least though, it'll allow Nagato to recover the body of his friend, since Naruto didn't tear it apart with the Rasenshuriken.

It was symbolic ^_^ and also, Jiraiya was the one who taught him the rasengan and pein killed him ;__;

Yeah, just because Naruto has made more variations on the Rasengan than a damn birthday cake, it doesn't mean the original is any less powerful. It makes me chuckle to think just how much Naruto owns right now, he's so many levels above 99% of the ninja world.

Hm, I've thought about that before, especially during Shikamaru's fight against Hidan and Kakuzu. During that time, I felt that Shikamaru could defeat Sasuke, but... then we got round after round of Sasuke taking down superior opponents, or fighting seemingly on par with them, which changed my view of how Shikamaru would hold up against Sasuke. One-on-one, Sasuke would definitely beat Shikamaru, simply because Shika is limited in his arsenal of jutsu as well as physical ability. If Shika had a team to work with against Sasuke, then yes, Shika would win that one.

In regards to Naruto... hmm... Naruto wouldn't actually want to kill Shika, so that would limit him to anything other than Rasengan and its variants. That aside though, I think Naruto would do fairly well against Shikamaru. Whatever he can't think his way out of, he'll overpower. Anyway, Naruto has surprised his fair share of geniuses in his time (The Third, Sasuke, Neji, Kakashi), so I'm fairly certain that Naruto would pull something out of his butt for a win.

Basically, yes, they're equal. His squad is strong, but the Leaf can definitely beat them. Actually, after seeing how Naruto fared against 6 Pains, he could probably "solo" all of Taka.

For me i think Sasuke is more powerful than naruto. Sasuke is more intelligent that Naruto. But when naruto transforms into a Kyuubi Naruto is stronger rather than Sasuke...

Shikamaru only wins he's given a full write up on Sasuke from Yamato, Naruto, Sakura and Sai and is specifically told that he is going after Sasuke and is allowed to make some ultimate 5 man team to go up against Sasuke solo.

If Shikamaru is solo and just happened to run across Sasuke in the woods and got into a fight with him... he's gonna die. Sasuke isn't a blabber mouth hot head like Kazuku who just walks into traps and can't come up with strategies.

I love Shikamaru, but I think he'd need alot to beat the Sasuke that faced off against Naruto, Yamato, Sakura and Sai at once and pwned all of them at once without even getting scratched... let alone the Super Eye 9000 version of Sasuke that's in the manga now.

To be fair, in that fight, Naruto was 3/4 dead and exhausted from going tail earlier, Sakura just wanted hugs and big smooches plus she had also been injured by the tail, Yamato wanted to take him alive and was tired from sealing the tail and making wood clones, and Sai was pretty much just looking at him like a long lost twin. (Could Sai be a long lost Uchiha?)

Although, to be honest, I really hate Sasuke, so I always hope he loses or dies. Maybe Shikamaru could trap him in the pit with Hidan, and Hidan's head could attach itself to Sasuke's body.

And since the show's name is "NARUTO", then that means that Naruto has the 1337 G0dh4X plot-armor... Sasuke will lose.
