(I based this thread on the format of one of my favorite TV shows C-Span's Washington Journal, a show where people call in about politics and government and where people call in and email to respond to comments (often controversial) in made by newsmakers, politicians and high profile figures.) Saturday I came across a video while "doing my Youtube" and found this old video from a quite intelligent (though I do not agree with the majority of his opine) Utuber named CrazClown who gave his opinion rant on the H and eechi genres and the fans.

what's your take as an H-fan

We're disgusting lowlifes of society who deserve nothing less then the holes we dig ourselves as we continue to masturbate to 2D girls with overly large mouths, eyes, and haircuts, and who also sweat copious amounts to the point of looking like they're melting. While breaking off on that point, anyone who enjoys goo girls also falls into this classification. Breaking off of that point, let's include all odd fetishes. I'm looking at you, vore, GTS, and rocking horse lovers!

Now we arrive at a conundrum. As an H-fan, I would fall under the area of making the most educated of judgments on this. Yet at the same time, any disparaging remarks I could make would be hypocritical of me. A paradox, if you will.

Great Scott!

He mentioned that free speech is okay as long as you "follow the rules" what are the rules of the anime universe? Are not the media of Anime and Manga (including hentai and eechi) pretty much free from creative rules. Laws? well as far as Japan (of course you have anti loli and shota laws and the everpresent censoring of the "holy parts") and America and most of the west ( save for child porn which IMO is disgusting and should be banned) unless you go by religious laws, pretty much anything goes. Judging from other videos from this guy I doubt that he's a religious man but instead a false moralist (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSUDOXFQ1pg) trying to tell people how they should live and consume entertainment. I know all are entitled to their opinion but what makes me beet red (and I'm tan skinned) is folk who are not authentic. I have respect for the conservative Christian, orthodox Jew/Israelite, observant Muslim, or just a genuine man or woman who makes his/her word their bond but I have none for a hypocrite of any kind

PS I'm not referring to anyone here since most of you are genuine in your views.

To each his own, I have no qualms with someone I never met saying that "hentai is sick and needs to go away". that's their rightful opinion. (I do however say to the hypocrites who get enjoyment (as if they were getting off) from excessive blood and violence in anime.... then condemn hentai and eechi fans.....HAVE YOU NO SHAME) who saying that. they fail to mention that although it is fantasy it is no different than the general regular porn industry. and whether you/they like it or not. deserves to exhist. (though I could do without the scat and blood) as for eechi. It is a just one of the little elements of what separates anime and manga from traditional animation . it's been a part of anime in general whether the anime or manga is totally fanservice or just a little moment in another genre anime ( sci-fi,romance,fighting etc.) Even if there is no heavy plot character development ( if so usually it's intended to be comedy......not all anime HAS to be deep and brooding like Miziyaki films) it's fun and that's why I like hentai in the first place. My intrests within anime have a range I like both thin-plot Hentai (for fun) and the rich plot story and character development driven Mizyaki (and like directors) films as well, I like shonen manga and shojo manga as well. Hentai should not be banned and should not be subject to some made up "moral laws/rules" written by a few witch hunting (often hypocritical) elitists simply because they don't agree with it. In retrospect. If it dosen't hurt the REAL laws (including moral) of a society then let it be. Just because you don't like it or call it sick does not mean it should be banned. H-media has its place in the greater anime universe and deserves to exist whether those who object (though they have a right to their opinion) like it or not!

or maybe he's denying it because youre his friend, .....oh well, enough eavesdropping, despite my qualms about the two videos, he Did do his research right better than 99% 2 bit flamers out there with a passion on dumping on people that aren't like them. these videos were done with an intelligent perspective view of one man.

Hey there folks, this is the Crazclown here. How is everyone doing? Well, I would just like to state that rant pertaining to Hentai and Ecchi was done quite some time ago( in fact I kinda forgotten most of the stuff I said about it in the video), however the relevant point I wanted to present is that Hentai and Ecchi is classified as a cursed genre (from my point of view) because of the controversial elements it portrays and how it is looked down upon by many members of anime community. I also wanted advise that people should have capability of differentiating their fantasies from reality through actions and behavior towards other people. However, over the period of time, my views have slightly changed about the genre and wanted to create a another video speaking about it but been too lazy to do it.:P This time the general idea still pertaining to folks controlling their fantasies when interacting in reality but also stating that those who do watch hentai and ecchi are entitled to do so. Why such change in my opinion you may ask?:D Well, as did say in the video, I do watch hentai and ecchi and over time I started to think "if people can watch and not lose their sense of morals, the what's the problem?". At the end of the day gentlemen (assuming that you are all males here) it the quantity of content and ability to stay sane (yes I use that loosely) is what counts.

Also, it is never my intention to dictate someones life on what they should do or not do. One of my main purpose for making these sort of videos is simply to voice my opinion on things and maybe give viewers a different perspective from what they have. Whatever you you do with your life is completely up too you. Oh and the quote about "freedom of speech is only abide by the rules", dude, I'm not trying to enforce any law,no no no. I just feel in my opinion that freedom of speech is not really existent unless you abide by unwritten laws that society seem to have. People can't really say certain comments because it may be considered along the lines of hate speech (not like I want to promote that crap anyway), slander, immoral and even unpatriotic. If one wants to really say what they think or feel, it has to be said anonymously or in the safety of somewhere ex. behind the keyboard or in a small group of trusted individuals.

I hope this kind of cleared up a few things and is able to change some of your opinion of me.lol Anyway, peace.
