I'm just wondering if any of you have heard the English versions of the OP/ED songs that we had over here. Apparently in America "Cardcaptors" had this horrible rap opening, but in New Zealand it had English versions of the Japanese songs.

I know the Japanese versions are better but I just thought I'd post these for anyone who hasn't heard them before.

Speak not of Cardcaptors, it needs to be forgotten. As for the English versions of the original songs, I've heard them once or twice while browsing Youtube, and I thought they were pretty bad.

Can't say I like them as much as the originals, but they're not bad. My biggest problem with them is that the lyrics seem rather nonsensical. I really prefer the cheesy lyrics of the Japanese ones.

The only one I really hated was Catch Me Catch You. I didn't care much for Groovy, but I wasn't much of a fan of the Japanese version either, so we'll just call it even.

Wow, those actually aren't that bad at all. I really liked the lyrics they used for their version of Platinum,and the singer has a nice voice too.

Eeek! True Japanese is totally better! I memorized the entire first OP in Japanese. True, the lyrics aren't bad, datte(refresh up on the OP for the translation...)... ^^

However, I would like to hear, perhaps, and English version of the second movie's ending...

The original first CCS OP is the cutest thing ever made. An English version is bound to be a set down.

There's no doubt cardcaptors was bad, though I thought the opening was fairly decent.
