I know I shouldn't but I drink Red Bull. It's so delicious. ^_^ So, if you do, what energy drink do you like?

The Million Dollar Prons
March 23rd, 2009, 09:23 AM
I've tried a few.

Full Throttle is ****. It has no buzz and the orange flavor is just orange soda. Which is okay but not energy at all.

My favorite is NOS, I tried the fruit punch in a can variety and it tasted good, had agreeable calories and that night I stayed up till midnight, even though that morning I woke up at 5 am and spent the whole day exercising. I'm not sure if that's the drinks effect or my own effect.

I'm gonna try a different energy drink tonight I think, but I'm not sure what.

The closest thing I drink to an energy drink is ginseng extract, of which I drink two of the little things daily.

Red Bull is my energy drink of choice. It's the only one where I like the taste, and it doesn't dry me out. I don't like that it's $2 for a ~8oz can, but it's delicious and jacks me up when I need it to.

I haven't done energy drinks in a while though; they have a propensity for making my heart race.

If I find it and it's not bad on calories, I'll try it out. I love Dr Pepper.

I only once drank an energy drink (I don't even remember what it was since it was a few years ago) and I didn't really care for it. I'll probably never drink one again just because it's about as good for you as a bottle of soda and I pretty much stopped drinking soda several years ago aside from the rare glass of Ginger Ale once in a while. Nowadays all I drink are water and juices.

Red Bull. But like Shadowcast said, it's too expensive.

I don't generally drink any of the energy drinks, but the Monster Java doesn't taste too bad.

I'll sometimes drink a Red Bull and Jägermeister, to be social.

I don’t drink energy drinks. If I need an energy boost I will drink tea or on a rare occasion coffee…otherwise I mainly drink Water, Gatorade, and Orange Juice (sometimes a soda.)

Surprisingly, although I have really horrible eating habits, I actually don't drink energy drinks (or coffee). I just never got into it. I don't even like that Vault stuff, which I guess is less caffeinated than Monster.

Surprisingly, although I have really horrible eating habits, I actually don't drink energy drinks (or coffee).

It didn't seem like I usually eat bad, but then a few nights ago I had chicken strips and crinkle cut french fries two meals in a row and the next day I felt like crap the entire day. I was tired, bloated, my stomach hurt, I had no energy, etc etc. I don't drink coffee or energy drinks, but I've decided I'm gonna try and cut fried foods out completely and see how that goes. Two days so far and I'm good. Think in the past two days I've eaten the following:

-3-4 bowls of Raisin Bran Crunch
-1 Yellow Apple
-1 Power Bar
-A bowl of salad
-A pack of microwaveable Tortellini
-A chicken pot pie

I think I do a decent job of exercising regularly, but I'm gonna make sure that I keep up with it. I think ever since I started this most recent semester of school, I've put on about 4-5 pounds and I want to do whatever I can to drop the few pounds I've put on, more so for that matter be healthy and treat my body with the respect it deserves.

Regular Mt. Dew is mine (or any soda with caffine).
I don't like the feeling of the energy drinks wearing off, it makes you more tried then before you drink the stuff. (I've tried amp with green tea)

¬_¬ Red Bull smells like hospitals. ¬_¬ It is too suspicious to drink. ¬_¬

I have tried drinking energy drinks in the past, and they give me some energy for about 5 minutes then I get completely drained of all energy and feel like going to sleep. Then I trudge around all day being half asleep and feeling crappy, and when I finally get to go and lie down, I'm sooooo tired.... BUT I CAN'T SLEEP! @_@

So I don't drink those, generally. Well, sometimes the cheap supermarket own-brand knock-off energy drinks that are sugar free, but that's mostly because they are cheap and come in a small can.

All of the caffiene I normally ingest comes from drinking tea. Ahhhh, tea. It's my favourite drink of all. :)

I have never liked the taste of Red Bull. Honestly, it makes me gag. Whenever I have drank it in the past, I'd held my breathy and swallowed quickly. I like the effects, but it tastes so damn bad.

The only one I can actually drink and enjoy is the regular flavor of Full Throttle. I've tried Amp and it's okay.

I do like Starbuck's energy coffee drinks. They are yummy.

They are really a waste of money, do people really feel that drained all the time that they need one every day? Grow some huevos people.

Actually I've experienced very bad effects with these drinks, some that would put Alcohol over in the healthy department over these.

Effects like dehydration, disruption of sleep patterns, physical body crash, ugh they are designed to give you a boost but after that boost your body just shuts down.

A friend of mine did the stupid thing of drinking one of those 5 hour energy things after being sleep deprived for 48 hours. Apparently she went into a very twitchy coma kind thing, like her body wouldn't let her sleep yet she wasn't really awake either.

these things should be taken seriously.

Same goes for me, I used to drink Monster (especially the Java Monter which is pretty tasty), but they always give me a nasty headache about 45 mins after I drink them. I've tried Rockstar, but it tastes like total ***. I personally like the blue Bawls (lol:rolleyes: ) the most. I've had the red (cherry) as well, but I didn't like it as much, and I've never tried the white/clear, since it's sugar free which honestly doesn't make much sense to me for an "energy drink".
