View Full Version : OMG OMG I just had an idea for a theme park ride.

It's based off of Super Robot Wars. It would be a rollercoaster-like ride called SRW: Velocity. You start off in the Hiryu, with various mechanics like Ryoto by the car, and then you overhear Eun and Lefina counting down to launch. Then you launch off at around 60mph from the catapult of the Hiryu. Each car of the ride is shaped like a Gespent, and you follow the Alt Eisen and Weisswritter into a battle. Somewhere in there would be a lot of movement of the car from following Weisswritter and there'd also be a part where you jerk six times from the Alt Eisen's Revolver Stake. There'd also be a part where you're in front of Lichkeit or Stern Regisseur and they use Raigoe or Ersunde on you (both attacks involve the mecha's face transforming into something more creepy for nightmare fuel) and the screen lights up and the car moves backward fast. I don't know what else to add so that's it.

Random thread is random.

Oh, and I'd totally ride this, especially if halfway through the ride there is a Trombe Interrupt as the ride stops, Trombe! starts playing and Elzam shows up.

I'd ride it except the whole "what" part.

The snow and ice shut down schools for my local district over here; I've been cooped up in here for most of the day.

Given that I'm not familiar with a single proper noun in the OP, I can't even imagine what this ride might entail.

The Hiryu was an IJN aircraft carrier, wasn't it?

Super Robot Wars was kind of like the video game equivlent of a marvel\dc crossover.

Popular giant robots featured in the same game, their stories intermingled with togehter to form a new and probably interesting if you can read Japanese story.

It was great if you're one of those guys who says "Wow I wonder what it'd be like if Zambot 3 fought algonside Space Runaway ideon."

It usually had gundam, mazinger, getter, the typical ones but some installments had oddball franchies like the Big O, Brain Powered, and just about eveyrthing else

So... what if Big O fought alongside the IJN Hiryu?

Hmmm...

Would've made the Battle of Midway more interesting, I think.

Truth be told, this thread is better off in the Mecha section, because unless you've played Super Robot Wars Original Generation/s, this won't even make sense to you.

Anyway, I like the concept, but it'll never happen. Though there was a Gundam roller coaster at one point, I think it was closed last year.

Hara!

Random thread? Don't mind if I do!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiverse_(Marvel_Comics)

Earth-921031 - Home reality of the X-Men: The Animated Series. This universe existed prior to the current Marvel Universe, and was destroyed by the fracturing of the M’Kraan Crystal.

What this means is, everyone from the X-Men cartoons in the 90s died.

Have a nice day.

There are videos of it as well:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nITRCbPoWpU (entering the ride)
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HoGYDY1zUvk (seen from inside the ride)

Kinda cool. I assume it would feel like you were there; like one of those ride simulation machines, where it simulates you being on a rollercoaster, on whitewater rapids, on a race track, in space, etc...

^ I would pay for a Mobile Suit Gundam ride that was based on Zeta Gundam. It could be built sort of like a Merry Go Round, with each of the "horses" being replaced by a different 'mech. The key part of the ride would be that instead of trying to grab a brass ring, there's be an effigy of CamEEEEL's face that everyone could punch as they rode by.

Um not exactly…

Let’s see if I can provide a frame of reference:

The Hiryu he was referring to wasn’t the actual ship but rather the Hiryu Kai (http://srwog.velv.net/og_mecha/hiryuukai.html). The battleship from Super Robot Wars Original Generation.

It's based off of Super Robot Wars. It would be a rollercoaster-like ride called SRW: Velocity. You start off in the Hiryu, with various mechanics like Ryoto by the car, and then you overhear Eun (http://srwog.velv.net/og_char/eun.html) and Lefina (http://srwog.velv.net/og_char/lefina.html) counting down to launch. Then you launch off at around 60mph from the catapult of the Hiryu. Each car of the ride is shaped like a Gespent (http://srwog.velv.net/og_mecha/gespenst_type-r.html), and you follow the Alt Eisen (http://srwog.velv.net/og_mecha/alteisen.html) and Weisswritter (http://srwog.velv.net/og_mecha/weissritter.html) into a battle. Somewhere in there would be a lot of movement of the car from following Weisswritter and there'd also be a part where you jerk six times from the Alt Eisen's Revolver Stake. There'd also be a part where you're in front of Lichkeit (http://srwog.velv.net/og_mecha/persoenlichkeit.html) (spoiler in that last paragraph) or Stern (http://srwog.velv.net/og_mecha/sternregisseur.html) Regisseur (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JRNBS4pXALU) and they use Raigoe or Ersunde on you (both attacks involve the mecha's face transforming into something more creepy for nightmare fuel) and the screen lights up and the car moves backward fast. I don't know what else to add so that's it.

(Trombe!)

Nah, base it of the original Gundam and Brightslap (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GetAHoldOfYourselfMan) Amuro as you go past to get him to say "even my father never hit me!"

If you like that sort of thing you'd like futuroscope. If it's still there atlantis was the best ride for chucking you about.
