The one I had last year was to be nice to everyone at school/college.

So my New Years Resolution this year is to not make such stupid decisions.

Old Ape Face
December 28th, 2008, 06:09 PM
My new years resolution? Hmmm I'd like it so that people wouldn't consider my Handicaps a restriction from public life. In other words, a dumb *** retard who'll ruin everything that I touch.

Shiroiyuki
December 28th, 2008, 07:08 PM
^How is that a resolution for yourself?

A resolution would be 'I will try and fit in with society, despite my handicaps'. Something you can do to better yourself. Not a hope that others will be nicer to you out of the blue.

Old Ape Face
December 28th, 2008, 07:10 PM
oh I intend to improve myself, that was just a bit of a "Hmmm what do I want people to consider me by?" But give it time and patience, I only live once, and I want to continue exploring.

But sometimes people don't give me the chance to express my talents with them. This year I resolve to getting better at Snowboarding.

-I'm going to try and rid myself of my quiet personality in the RL. I believe the fact that I'm quiet is the reason I don't have many friends anymore, or "true friends." However, though I keep most thoughts/emotions to myself, I believe one of the reasons I've kinda lost touch with most of my friends is because all they like to do is get drunk and high, while I distance myself away from alcohol and drugs, but I lost friends in the process. Perhaps friends I don't want?

-I agree w/ 1080p

-Complete my huge backlog of games to beat.

^ The best way to break the silence with others is to be sarcastic in thought, saying things just for the sake of saying them. I don't know what it is with people, but most are under the impression that silence is a bad thing (for some reason). If somebody talks crap to you and you don't reply back, then you are assumed to be offended or too incompetent to reply. If you don't make idle conversation to avoid an awkward silence, then you are awkward. If you don't talk at a party, then you are out of place. Perception is reality, as dumb as it is. I've often found that the annoying, opinionated person is the one that attracts the most attention from people and keeps friends the longest. The smart and silent ones are lonely.

Edit: Resolution, to come off the alcohol, that stuff is expensive and doesn't improve anything.

Man, Don't think that way, it almost always turn's out like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-Elr5K2Vuo&feature=related), and in sometimes uncommon situations, It can turn into this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbsUsXVyKBw) when friends are involved...

Lets just hope it doesn't go there.

Don't really have any as a matter of fact. Maybe just survive in my demanding job I guess. Last year or two (don't remember) I told my aunt I'd eat more to stop looking so anorexic, but realized travelling to 3 different places on average each day (public transportation to boot) in a traffic ridden city with no time to eat and not much cash at hand to really buy a half decent meal was just not realistic. However since my job always invites me free food (albeit it's not gourmet I find most of what they serve to be rather decent), it's only a matter of organizing my time to go eat (we don't have defined lunch schedules, more like the cafeteria offers their food at specific times of the day and you go when you can...)

Haha yeah, what a bag of pansies. You obviously haven't experienced the pecking order hierarchy in hospitals. Ummm.. I've only seen a few minutes of that movie (for some reason I just didn't like that film). It's actually one of the most important hospitals in the country, and for being public it's really pretty looking (it's also insanely huge, so big that they even host anime conventions there, it's the coolest hospital evar!!). I love the architecture, it even has a Diego Rivera mural in one of the buildings. 95% of the teachers there are cool dudes that are sugar canes, it's always that 5% that treat you like crap because they can that you'll always remember. That teacher made me suffer so much, but out of the classroom he was a really cool guy, the kind of person to get drunk at a bar with. Sadly he stopped teaching because he moved to France, what a shame.

Today me and my dad drove up to Vermont, and wouldn't you know we probably passed about 10 pile ups on the highway and one truck was literally upside down in the medium. and from what we saw the cab was crushed.

What really surprises me is, it's people who've lived here their entire lives who just don't seem to take snow on the highway too seriously. Just becuase you have 4 wheel drive doesn't mean you can stop going that fast.

Really I've already experienced a fatal accident in my town, it happened to a kid I graduated with and grew up with mostly. He was only going 40 on a back road, and slammed into a tree. I can't be any more serious about the weather here. It can be fun but it can also be deadly.
