And apparently he's already in sage mode as well, Hurrah!

Pein just wasted all that energy to blow a hole in a city that will probably be revealed to have killed pretty much noone we've seen so far in the manga. At least noone important anyway. The stage is unfortunately set for Naruto to whoop his ***. Maybe even without help.

Well it seems that there wont be a release until next week so here is another pic I found.

If the spoilers I read a couple days ago are true, he one shots one of the Peins.

If Naruto is sporting that new coat courtesy of the frogs, which bears a striking resemblance to the 4th Hokage's, I wonder if the 4th Hokage's was supplied by the frogs as well (even if he didn't learn the Sage arts, he DID have a contract with them).

there is nothing that says he didnt learn sage mode is there?

The new clothing looks like a mixture between The 4th and Jiraiya.

there is nothing that says he didnt learn sage mode is there?I knew that was going to me misinterpretted.. I wasn't saying the 4th DIDN'T learn Sage arts, but we don't know if he DID; I was just saying the coat probably came from the frogs 'under contract'.

Actually, all we need is for Kakashi to see Naruto's back in that coat so he can exclaim "Yondaime!" again :)

As for Naruto one-shotting one of the Pein bodies; that can't be very hard if they're all lying on the ground anyway (unless Nagato goes back to controlling them after the huge Shinra Tensei).

I have also read that part where he kill puppet Pein after being brought back to life. But seeing all all the Pein bodies fainted when Nagato was about to use Shinra Tensei they all might be weak.

Even if the bodies are dead to begin with, one would think that once their chakra tubes are cut, the bodies wouldn't be able to use ninjutsu regardless.

uh i wanna see naruto throw his reasen shuriken and wipe them out already, and for get pein i cant wait for him to fight sauce-gay thatll be good since sasuke fights with intellegence instead of pure power like pein

but in other words this is one of the best chapters in a longgggggggggggggggggg time and i mean longggggggggggg

It's nice seeing Naruto do something right off the bat like that. Not much action in this chapter, but it was still really good.
Now how many chapters until we see That Jutsu?

but it was still awesome. I can gaurentee that in naruto fashion, he will make a mess of things, maybe lose hermit mode before the job is finished

EDIT: when is the next chapter released?

I didn't. Good eye.

I really hope that naruto doesn't beat pain or comes even close to do it. Before this, he was the same silly ninja with a big jutsu that wasn't allowed to use, and now he beats one body with one frontal blow, just because he left for a few days(or not even that?). I hope that kishimoto doesn't pull a kubo.

Could be as long as nine or ten days. There was no SJ last week and this week's came exceptionally early, as often transpires on off weeks.

I so did not catch that! I thought he just *****-smacked him! And I am pretty positive that the next release will still be this thurs/Fri because it WAS released last week technically, just not uploaded as opposed to Bleach, which is an early release.

I forgot to mention that I'm now hopeful that Kakashi may still be alive. There was a slug on his body this chapter. Would Katsuyu attach herself to dead bodies?

Shes quite emotional, I could see her trying to bring backa dead man. Besides Kishi said this was going to be a big year for Kakashi, he is probably dead.

awwww kakashi my second fav char behind naruto, was anyone that watched ep 90 relieved to see jiraya? it sounds weird but like he hasnt been around in the manga obviously and he hasnt been there in the anime either... it was like a sight for sore eyes type of thing

Besides Kishi said this was going to be a big year for Kakashi, he is probably dead. When I saw the big year for Kakashi statement a while ago, I took it to mean more than his death. I took it as a "Tobi/Madara is revealed to be Obito" thing (which can still happen if Madara is inhabiting Obito's body).

Killing off Kakashi would serve no purpose at this point in the story. The effect of a Kakashi death would be angry Naruto, which has already happened in the form of Jiraya and now Konoha getting the $hit kicked out of it. Besides, Kakashi has been a main character since issue four, there's no way that he can be killed off like he was, it wasn't a grand enough battle for that. Jiraya (who wasn't nearly as important) got a few issues dedicated solely to him in his passing.

Yep, it's kind of sad to see that the "big thing" about kakashi, was just to see him being use to show how powerful the bad guy is.

Poor chad, i mean, Kakashi.

Wait, I just realized.... There's no way Naruto had enough time to make a clone, form Rasengan, and smash the Pain all in that short time span..... So..... ONE-HANDED RASENGAN?!?!?!

ffl
January 1st, 2009, 06:43 PM
Yep, so it would seem. He does already have a clone or two out though.

ShiniKage_01
January 2nd, 2009, 08:24 AM
yea i dnt think he made a clone cause he was still shocked from the destruction of konoha so yea i think it was one handed

Hellsartist

He might already have a clone out since he is already in sage mode, but who knows. Plus didn't Naruto already master a one-handed Rasengan as he developed his Wind-infused Nuke of a Rasengan? The way my memory looks I'm not sure but It'd certainly make sense for him to have mastered the original to expand and improve on it.

You would think so, but Naruto forming a successful Rasengan without a Kage Bushin has never been shown if it has happened.

I think he did once during his big fight with Sasuke. After his chakra took the fox shape and he damaged his left arm he did a one handed rasengen. I remember someone saying he could have lost because his one handed rasengan was weaker than usual.
It's been a long time since I read that chapter, but so I'm not 100% sure.

You're right he did, but he was all kyuubi mode. We haven't seen a non kyuubi Naruto form one with one hand...though now hes using sage mode to be able to do one so we still haven't seen a "normal" Naruto make a 1 handed rasengan.

ffl
January 5th, 2009, 04:13 PM
Sage mode doesn't give him more control, just more power. So it's irrelevant whether he uses his own chakra or natural chakra to make a Rasengan with one hand.

Well by that thought process I would think making a rasengan while in kyuubi mode would be even harder than a rasengan in Sage mode or "normal" mode given the nature of the beast. Such that if he could make one while kyuubi he should be able to make one at any time with one hand.

ffl
January 5th, 2009, 07:10 PM
Yep. That's what I've thought all along. It's just that people still don't think that he can do it. I'm sure that if he concentrates enough he can and does do it. The anime guys apparently don't think that he can make a one-handed Rasengan either since they had him say that he still can't do it one-handed.

Once again Naruto characters (Naruto here) get better in such a very short amount of time. I would prefert to see them mature gradually as they fight ennemies, but mostly they' re stable and then suddenly with a little training get dramatically better...

ffl
January 6th, 2009, 09:23 PM
Naruto has been training on the toad mountain for a while now... Besides that, he's learned quite a few techniques, not necessarily jutsu techniques, but just techniques, that've helped him to train that much faster. Also, Naruto's big fight has been a long time in coming since part 2 started. Everyone else seems to have had their chance, or multiple chances *looks at Sasuke*, to show off their stuff, but this'll really be Naruto's first battle that'll bring together everything that he's learned so far, hopefully.

Anyway, getting dramatically better with a little training shouldn't be that much of a biggie. I mean... look at Luffy.:) With practically no training shown at all, he's a beast that takes down even beastier beasts. Which is just fine with me. I wouldn't really enjoy seeing a training arc in One Piece when I'd much rather just see Luffy take it to the man while getting into outrageous adventures.

Same here. You shouldn't look at the TIME Naruto's spent training as much as you should look at WHAT he actually was training to obtain. Sage arts are drastically stronger than the average ninja arts, so it's obvious that since he has Kage Bushin to help him train exponentially faster, he learns them quicker, AND he mastered them, making him insanely strong. Yay for the TRUE power of Naruto.
