Don't get the aim 6.9 beta because it looks even crappier than aim 6.8.

Thank you for the forewarning but I am using an older version that has something the others don't have. I've skipped the last couple of upgrades in lieu of the the current one that I'm using.

I used to be an AIM addict now I can't remember the last time I have used it. I don't think I even have it on my computer.

I still use AIM 5.9, w/ no ad mod. Simple, uses little to no resources.

I used to use MSN Messenger back in the day, but I started using AIM and that's all I've been using for the past 3-4 years. I'm most comfortable with AIM and its what everyone I talk to uses anyways, so why not?

I would like to use AIM again, but this thing is not compatable with Windows Vista. I'd rather not risk it. I'm happy with Yahoo IM for now. I admit I use to like it, but I don't use it for now.

Since when? I'm using AIM right now and I have a Vista OS.

Since when?
Since never. AIM has always been Vista capable.

What's the latest version of AIM? I remember when I once try to install it about 6 months ago, it messed up the network settings of the computer. It was a pain to get it to work again. I'm also using Vista Home Basic, so maybe it has something to do with that.

I usually find that international students or people visiting will have an MSN account that they use more often than an AOL account.

I know that most of the younger people have AIM or used it when they were younger as AOL was prevalent for a long time. It was always easy to get a new SN and now that the service is free, AOL accounts are easily accessible by everyone and AIM was always a free service.

Skype is something new to me. I am familiar with the other typical messengers but only just recently started up and account with that service. It looks all right but I find that I don't use it so much compared to other messengers.

In the end, it may just be a matter of personal preference.

Hey I don't use AIM I better post in the thread anyways.

Nah just kidding I'm not conceded enough to treat every thread as a private message in my inbox.

Thanks for the update, Prons.
