Well the fight in the manga what like 1/2 a Chapter. Shikamaru's bonding with deers was a bit odd though.

At the end of Ep. 87, they gave a preview of the next arc, which is the Two Tail's Arc or something like that. By the looks of it, it will be semi-filler, because it won't go along with the manga but doesn't create an entirely new story. They better be careful with this one, because if they interfear too much with the original Naruto universe (i.e. SORA having Kyuubi-ness = Bull$hit) then I'll be pissed.

Yes....seems like that's the big deal these days. The sad part about it is stuff like this they've always let it take over 15 minutes of an entire episode.

Why I wonder...we're so far behind on the manga.

It's like 7 fights away which you can conver in 20 episodes if you really wanted to. They're just padding their slim buffer abit. They're alot better off than Bleach is at the moment.

Idk man, Bleach is like dead in the middle of the Hueco Mundo/Captain fights. After those are done, we're on to the Battle Royale, which is what the manga's currently at. I doubt that they will do the Turn Back the Pendulum Arc (even though I REALLY want them to). In Naruto, first we have this upcoming filler-type arc, then the Sasuke absorbs Orochi, then Sasuke vs. Dei-chan, THEN Sasuke vs. Itachi (which will last FOREVER), THEN 8-Tails/Sage Training, and THEN we're finally on Pein vs. Konoha. Seems that Naruto's pretty bad as well.

If you ask me, I think that there will be 3 Arcs before we hit the 8-Tails/Sage Training/Pein vs Konoha Arc (Two Tails Arc, Sasuke Haxx Arc, Sasuke vs. Itachi Arc (yes, I garuntee Sasuke and Itachi will get their own Arc)).
