I caught a good portion last night. Good cause as I never knew about TBI (traumatic brain injury) before.
Some d*** good fights in my opinion.
Koscheks knockout was great.
Now, the Corey Hill fight was disturbing (http://www.ufc.com/).

They took the video off the site to make room for the new ones.
Here is a full VIDEO (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVX_cO7CQWQ) of the fight.
You almost miss it when it happens but the slow motion replay gives some excruciating details. It almost makes you wince in pain as soon as it happens. I give some respect to these guys for what they do. Even with non-title fights happening, everyone seems to try their best.
Although the sport has a long way to go in terms of technique. The wrestling, kicking and jui jutus is good in most cases. What bothers me everytime I watch a match up is how uncoordinated the hands are. The development of boxing skills seems to be a downfall of this sport. All the sloppy haymakers, large circle, wide looping punches that can be seen from miles away. But I digress.
It is usually the case that PTSD is most talked about in relation to war veterans. It seems that TBI was the focus here and it's star studded cast of guest speakers were very supportive of the cause.
*This will not turn into a political thread of any kind as it will cause the thread to be locked and that will displease me.**
So then I guess I was the only one who watched it....

That guy needs to change weight classes.
Eh, I prefer Boxing, I never really care to watch MMA much. I do like Pride though, better than UFC, at least it WAS.

Dually noted dude. I remember what you said from the other thread.
Stand up is okay but it's still got ways to go development-wise. If they could throw punches like boxes, it would truly be MMA in my opinion. If you remember, the draw for me is the jui jutsu and grappling.
But it was all for a good cause.
Hill was in the right weight class...he just lost the battle of who has a stronger leg. The recovery process will be intense.
Koscheck's knockout shows that he's improved. I remember watching some of the season one TUF and he had no game. Just wrestling. His fights were boring in the beginning.

I prefer boxing. I've said it before, but Muhammed Ali would whoop the **** out of those guys. If they got him in a hold it's a different story, but that's if they could get close enough.
