If there's a thread someone has posted already, then feel free to delete it or something...
But I'm surprised no one's done one yet.
I will eat my hat if the Phillies pull this off...because Philly teams usually screw it all up in the last minute. But so far, it's looking pretty good. :)

Worst World Series ever. Pretty boring. There hasn't been a good World Series since 2001.

We need a once in a lifetime pairing like the Yankees vs the Red Sox or something.
I think im gonna get lynched at work tomorrow after decorating my cubicle in Phillies gear.

Sadly a Red Sox vs Yankees World Series is impossible because they are in the same league (American League?).
I was hoping the Rays would take it but that, wasn't to be.

That would be one of the greatest games of all time.

Look back no further than the 2003 ALCS. That basically took away all the hype from the World Series that year.

Yeah I did say that didn't I?
*eats hat in front of AN members* Well there you go...at least I"m shooting off fireworks and overturning newspaper machines and cars like they did in town last night. All over. Which, I knew they would.

Ah, nothing like the wanton destruction of property to celebrate a championship.
I'm impressed with the ease Philly won...I've always thought the NL was quite a bit weaker in terms of talent than the AL.

^ I don't think you should let the 4-1 score mislead you, all the Philly's victories except for one was a 1 run game.

Good pitching stops good hitting.
