The Shippuuden english dub should start in about 3-5 months in the US.

It all depends on what format will arrive first in the US. If it's TV broadcasts, it's questionable. There are roughly 20 episodes of old Naruto left before Shippuden begins. Cartoon Network is delaying airing these last few episodes, whether they're just dragging their feet to renegotiate broadcasting rights or until they can find a replacement for Naruto is anyone's guess. If they start resuming their 2 episode/week format it could be early next year or it could be never. If it comes in DVD release format first.....well? It could easily be another 2 years at their present release rate. So the answer is betweem 10 weeks and 2 years.

Shippuuden was supposed to by out by this December, I did some math. But then they went back to showing one episopde a week, as apposed to two, so Shippuuden won't be out until early next year, maybe, or Fall at the latest.

Any updates?

I am asking because there is a rumor that Cartoon Network has cancelled Naruto and will not air Shippuden either.

I heard that it means that SHippuden will go straight to DVD volume box sets.

Can anyoen confirm?

I have NO clue as to how Shippuuden plans to successfully thrive on US TV. CN canceled Naruto and Adult Swim only shows anime on Sat nights after 1 am eastern as an attempt to slowly push anime off their schedule completely.

^ I don't think there was ever a hope for Naruto to survive unless they do what Crunchyroll did and jump straight to brand new episodes. I think that anyone who watches Naruto on CN and gets hooked will eventually seek out fansubs.

Even if you're just browsing for info on Wikipedia, you'd find out that there is a comic thats like 70+ episodes ahead of where the latest episodes, but that there are actual cartoon episodes that are like 100+ episodes ahead of the US tv broadcast.

If you've gotten hooked, I can't imagine you not seeking out all this content.

Seriously? Has CN outright cancelled Naruto? Okay, who am I going to have to slap? It was 11 episodes from the end of the non-Shipuuden episodes. That's really poor planning on their part. I might have forgiven them if they finished airing through 220, then decided not to (or were unable to) pick up the Shipuuden episodes. I may have to seek out this Crunchyroll...does it still have older episodes so one can catch up?

Crunchyroll and Hulu should be up to like the 60s or 70s by now. They add 8 episodes each week and the latest episode (since like 89) comes out one week after the JPN version for free. You can get it like 1 hour after the JPN version if you're a subscriber @ Crunchyroll.

They're 1 week behind. I've been watching Hulu and they're on 98 at the moment.

Since Toonami ended. They don't play the animes like Bobobobobo or One Piece anymore. Well, my prediction for Shippuden won't be on for a while.

It really depends. I havre a hard time believing Naruto is less popular than Bleach in the US. Of course Shippuden is currently 100 epsiodes, which gives CN 1 year of episodes to broadcast. If they hold off airing Shippuden til Septemebr they could go non-stop til the end of the series. Maybe CN has droppsed Naruto for good but it'd be a mistake in my book.

when will the episodes come back on TV... I'm kinda starting to lose interest... the truth is... I will NEVER go to the internet to see a sub... without the dubs... I'm, I'm lost... I HATE watching episodes on the internet... cuz... you can see those anytime... I want to look forward to something every week... but without weekly episodes... there's no good thing to do for the average weekend... Naruto will never be the same.

That's all I know. Why would I want to buy the subbed episodes where I can simply watch it online for free. HUH

<---- Because some of us like watching Naruto on our 40" TV in Dobly 5.1 instead of a computer screen. :)
