I'm thinking about trading in a box set or two, and probably bogged myself down by wondering if certain disk values might be overridden "in context".
Say I want to get rid of my Tokko box set (http://www.animenation.com/m5073.html). DVD 3 is listed at being worth $5, and the other 2 aren't listed, meaning $2 each. If I send all three inside their "please don't break up our little family and sell us separately" box would the value drop to $2 for #3, or should I just use the numbers listed and not bother caring if you decide to pitch the box and sell the singles individually? (Or maybe it's valued because that's what's needed to complete a partial box in stock?)
An alternate example would be the Hand Maid May CD-ROM 'Read Only Memory' disk, which was never offered as a single outside of the box set. Is this valued more because you've somehow got a glut of boxes that don't have it included?
I suppose my question boils down to whether or not multiple disks that should be sold as a single unit are valued differently than singles which have different levels of stock and/or demand.
(Yes, this would be solved by throwing away the box myself, but I've read enough posts here over the years to know that some people like the boxes)
