New (and rescued) Region 1 releases

Kitty Media has announced (http://www.mania.com/kitty-media-new-title-solicitations_article_87058.html) that they will be releasing Night Shift Nurses: Ren Nanase (originally titled アニメ 七瀬恋—Anime Nanase Ren) and "Dollhouse" (can anyone recognize this from the supplied cover (http://www.mania.com/gallery/87056/43252.jpg)?) in November.

Also, Adult Source Media has rescued the licenses (http://www.mania.com/adult-source-media-acquires-more-hentai-classics_article_87078.html) of Pure Mail (http://www.animenation.com/dvd-663.html) and Kowaremono (http://www.animenation.com/dvd-663.html) (AKA Kowaremono: Fragile Hearts; sequel to Slave Doll: Maid to Order (http://www.animenation.com/kvdvd-0301.html)), both previously released by NuTech Digital. Pure Mail was produced by Green Bunny, while Kowaremono: Fragile Hearts was produced by Beam Entertainment, and then distributed by Green Bunny, which apparently succeeded Beam after the latter was absorbed into the Happinet Corporation (http://web.archive.org/web/20070809024219/http://www.hap-net.com/english/company/history/index.html). (I know that the ANN Encyclopedia states that Green Bunny produced Kowaremono, but I have an outstanding error report to asking change that.) Hopefully other Beam/Green Bunny licenses will also be picked up.

Is it me or is ASM one of the better US distributors thesedays? They seem to pick up a decent amount of stuff.

No, they are one of the worse companies I would say. Basically one episode per disk with a high MSRP on stuff that has been released before or of questionable quality. There are some exceptions such as Class Reunion Again

I believe that this is an alternate "what if?" storyline which has no relation to any of the previous NSN series.

I just read a plot outline of the movie. It said that before she was a nurse, she was at a nursing school where she was a sex slave to someone else. However, at the beginning of Night Shift Nurses, she was a virgin. Plot-hole! Lol, I'm still going to watch it.

From a fannish point of view, in descending order it's probably Kitty, CMV, ASM, and JA.

Dollhouse is apparently Milky's Ningyou no Yakata—credit for the identification goes to Anime on DVD's ape2020.
