Favorite Hentai Game? +recommendations

Hey all----just lookin for input from others to see what everyone's favorite hentai game is.

Personally, I split mine up between 3D and anime-style H-games, in which case my favorite 3D would be sexy beach 3, and my fav anime-style would be the bible black game...unfortunately I have a lack of anime-style games.

Now, in an un-named magazine, I saw an advertisement for a game called "Lightning Warrior Raidy" that looked really good. I see it is for sale on this site, and I was wondering if anybody has played it, and how good it is.

I haven't played it, but both Animetric and Something Awful (under "Awful Anime") have reviewed it. Note that S.A.'s reviews are to be taken with a grain of salt.

yeah, Something Awful is a horrible review site for H-games because they treat them like a big joke and just write witty sarcastic comments mostly...I did see the review though

As far as English translated games, Crescendo is about the best that is currently on the market. Family Project ~Kazoku Keikaku~ is being ported into English at this time, it happens to been voted the most highly acclaimed bishoujo game of all time by the readers of Erogamescape, a Japanese magazine that specializes in Bishoujo games. Not to sound like a ad, but the OP and ED for that game was performed by KOTOKO, which makes this a must buy when it hits the market later this year.

When it comes to un-translated games, Shin Ringetsu & Aniyome (both by a company called Selen) are the best that I own . . . .

Actually I'd say Yume Miru Kusuri ~Drug that Makes You Dream~ is as good if not better than Crescendo. Either way I'd definitely recommend either of them, they're pretty much my current English favorites.

Aside from Family Project that you mentioned, there's also the upcoming Princess Waltz which was one of the most popular in Japan in 06 I think it was. I think this one is due out next month actually.

It's alright, it's a really REALLY old type of RPG and yet somewhat annoying to get through for "just ok" ero scenes. I don't know if I'd really recommend a purchase of it.

Discipline is by the same people that did Bible Black so it's great, though this one is also void of the occult. It's still "dark" though. I liked it better than BB actually, cept for 2 particular scenes that I wish I hadn't seen =(

Edit: also, if you don't mind DLing it, there is a full English translation of Tsukihime out and it is a GREAT visual novel. The ero isn't very good and I wouldn't advise getting it JUST for that, but I definitely think you should check it out anyway.

Animetric, which does take H games seriously, did not treat Lightning Warrior Raidy much better. Possibly the problem is that LWR is (IIRC) a remake of an earlier version, and (speculation) all the designers did was update the art, and the back end to the new operating systems.

You're completely correct on both points.

Shuffle! is my all time favorite eroge/galge, it's very cute and sweet so there's no times when you feel like crying which is very refreshing.

Also there's a lot about One ~To the Radiant Season~ being very good, Kanon, Clannad which actually isn't an adult title but it's one of the highest rated galge ever, same with Ever 17.

It's been some years but Izumo 1 and 2 were very good, story was ok, gameplay was great, music and art were superb.
