I'm only interested in the ping pong portion. Zhang Yin Ing is a goddess.

Other than that it doesn't really matter to me, I just hope it goes well since China put all that itme in effort to "put on their best beijing." I mean I wouldn't say it's a dump normally, but let's say the biggest long term effect of the olympics was the Chinese government got to sleep some of the slime under the rug :)

I'll check out a few events, I always do, but I prefer the Winter Olympics to the Summer Olympics. The sports in the Winter games are always a lot more interesting and exciting to watch, IMO.

I will be following our Basketball team though.

I'll be paying attention to the basketball portion.

Semi interested to see if Phelps can get 8 golds.

I used to love both Olympics but I don't feel like watching five minutes of show and then thirty f**king minutes of commericals.

I have little interest in the Olympics. I worry though about what the long-term effects will be on the athletes breathing all that pollution.

Ditto.

I also hate the 2012 olympics in London because all the money used for grants in science has been used to build ****ing retarded stadiums.

Because sport is way more important than science. I hear that the long jump cures cancer.

They did that over in England for real? Because that sounds like something that Americans would totally do.

Yep, they did. Then again Greece was in debt for ages due to the Olympics so I think the whole point of the Olympics is to waste money.

I'd rather watch the World Cup anyways, but I guess that's because I'm from Europe.

^ I agree. I guess it's good and all when your country wins but I wish they would only broadcast the finals and semi finals of events. I can't stand long winded things ( and no I won't be watching it:P )

Only thirty f**king minutes? Seems like a conservative estimate to me!

Seriously, I haven't bothered watching the Olympics since 1992 when the "Dream Team" played. The Games haven't been relevant to me since then.

I love watching the Olympics, espeically the summer events. Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Tennis, Hockey, Table Tennis, Badminton, and Baseball are always an enjoyable watch for me. I sometimes like to watch Boxing and Judo, but really I prefer the previously mentioned.

I love the Olympics, always good watching the world's best athletes compete.

I have an interest in the outcomes of the various foot and cycling races, but I don't watch them. The only parts of the Olympics I don't miss are the opening and closing ceremonies.

Athletic activity really is good for you. If you dont go out and do anything you tend to get overweight, smelly, and never want to get up lol. Thats half of us anime watchers. I myself love sports and exercise. So it hurts me when someone says that. I don't care if u detest sports thats ure own bussiness but try and stay in shape or good health.

Well, somebody was the butt of one too many fat jokes...

Just kidding. I won't be watching them either.
I'd rather eat and not make any sort of movement.

I usually watch only the opening ceremony and perhaps the closing ceremony too, as long as I'm not forget about it first. =P

I watched it when we had Sarah Ulmer break the cycling record but that's it. She's not competing this year as far as I know, so no.

If I don't forget I'll probably watch the swimming portion at least (America is beast this year) and probably the basketball and running parts too.

I've protested in front of the Chinese consulate every other weekend (and yes, partially because of the girls protesting there) since the beginning of the year. I will not be watching the olympics.
