So I found this (well a few) eBay sellers who are based in Korea. They sell legit stuff cheap, but the CD's I want are not the Japanese release they're Korean release. Before I jump on them, I just want to make sure I wouldn't be missing anything...

Thanks.

I have tons of Korean and Asian releases of Japanese CDs, and they're legal. The only differences you'll notice on them are some messages on the back that usually say "for sale outside of Japan only", and they almost always come with an extra insert inside that has some Chinese or Korean information. Aside from those things, they're identical to the Japanese releases, only half the price.

Japan has a choke hold on the music prices in Japan, but in order to sell more CDs outside of Japan, they have to sell for almost half the price or else people would tell them to go to hell. I ALWAYS try to find a Korean or Overseas version first, and if I can't then I'll consider the original Japanese one. Some of my favorite artists don't have versions outside of Japan (like Rurutia), so I have to fork over the $25-$30 per album.

Yeah, these Korean releases are 15 bucks with 5 doller shipping. I want these two Asian Kung-Fu Generation CD's and it adds up to 40 bucks more or less. Buying directly from Japan via my usual source is 53 bucks.

Thanks for the response Gibb.

I always find it hard deciding which release is the best to get, too.

Chinese, Korean, Japanese....Taiwanese ....they all have different promotional art it seems. I usually go with the cheapest one that I find most attractive (art wise).

Probably not the best way to go, though
