Well besides work this summer, I'm planning on visiting a dear friend in August ^_^. Should be uber-fun!

welll lets see, a lot of things have happened already to start the summer off with a bang.
First thing, I failed this semester at College, well whatever it wasn't really my kind of field to take anyway, I'm thinking of changing majors into some cinde of Engineering field, I'm pretty decent with math and hands on work so I might come out better with this, As long as I apply myself
Second thing is, My brother got the Boyscout rank of eagle and had his ceremony 2 weeks ago. Makes me regret not pushing myself to to get own eagle, but it also motivates me to keep going to college and thinking about real life and looking for a real job.
Third thing is, My brother just graduated high school yesterday.
fourth thing, I'm going canoing with the boyscouts this week should be fun.
And then of course Fourth of July.
then I'm going to be looking for another part time job

Will you be going to the YMCA afterwards? Make sure to take protection....erm ....a 'life jacket'.

Funny <_< The boyscouts aren't gay why does everyone associate boyscouts are homosexual? <_< I'm tired of that retarded Stereotype, if you don't know don't ask. <_<

Nothing except work.
I'm hoping that maybe in either August or September I'll have some time to take off.

Well, no...I didn't think the boy scouts were gay. But when you said something along the lines of 'wishing you'd have gotten your Eagle', I sort of figured you no longer were in the boy scouts.
So there was only one logical reason you'd be in a canoe full of boy scouts.... and sad to say, I wasn't really surprised.

Well since my brother is still (ok not in the boyscouts) but My dad is the Scout master for the time being. I have been planning this trip for about 2 years, we do this sort of thing every 2 years, and since I left the troop about that time I'm just going for the trip.
as far as I know I'm done with organizations like these, they were fun and I wish I could go back and do it all again but I have other things to think about.

 You must be scandinavian.
You couldn't tell it's summer in the UK I'll tell you that. It's like a mix of spring with autumn, 1 week sun, the next week rain/cloudy and fairly cold.
I'm going to Newquay (port in England) for a week at the end of July so hopefully will have consistent weather down there *fingers crossed*.

I don't like summer. I prefer gray skies and enough of a breeze to make my hair flow epically in the wind. Brooding skies always make me feel good.

I'm sort of with you, though not having to shovel my driveway for 3 seasons is always a Plus in my book.
I don't really like the beach, I don't care for swimming in the North Atlantic, something about the constancy of the salt in the water doesn't feel right to me. If I'm going the swim I'd rather do it in a clean pool.
But other then that I like the mildly warm weather, not too cold not too hot, just warm enough where I don't haver to wear a jacket. Cold enough that I don't have to wear nothing.

I've never seen a clean pool. They are always filled with bandaids, mucous, hair and the souls of lost children.

Summer? Are we talking summer vacation, or the actual season?
Anyway, I'm busy working. When I'm not, I'm figuring out how to spend my money, writing, playing games, watching anime...basically the same as college, except classes are replaced by work, and instead of grades, I get money. Much better, really.

when I say clean I mean like, no concentration of salt in it, something about salt water makes it feel too thick and hard to move in. I like to swim but not when the current is fighting me too.
Though cleaning a pool is a pain in the ***, still I'd work for a clean pool.

Like TreizeX, I have to work. I'm gonna try hanging out with friends a little more than I have been on my off days. I miss those guys, and its only been a month since I last saw them. Otherwise, I'm doing what I've been doing all year. Anime, manga, cosplay, etc.
EDIT: Actually, I'm going to try being more active outside and lose some weight. It's been nice outside lately.

Sweat my *** off in 100+ weather everyday, check. Man, summer is so great, I love the heat.(that is not sarcasm)
I plan on playing as much football as I can, I'm already on top of that. Also, going hiking in the woods, four-wheeling, swimming, improving my archery skills, and taking a summer course soon.

 Wow, you failed a semester at some measly community college, and yet you're planning on majoring in engineering. Is this some kind of joke?
On-topic: Summer will consist of a balance between work and play for me, since I only work four days out of a week, which means I get three days off to do whatever I want!

Spent a portion of the day in a city park relaxing with a book, then sat on my front porch last night and listened to a baseball game on a portable radio. The weather for the first day was delightful. I just hope summer won't be Death Valley hot this season.

As of now, I'm going to be driving for a couple of days in a moving truck. Today actually. Then I gotta unpack, get settled in, etc. However it's right in time for the 4th of July. And unlike Jersey, fireworks are perfectly legal and very available where I'm moving *evil laugh*.:shifty::devil:
Well I'm making one more post and I'm done for around a week.

Working, training, reading, learning, internet surfing, video-gaming, movie watching and preparing for university. That's about it, generally.
Summer's alright, but I prefer Autumn. Nothing like multicolored leaves and perfect, crisp 15C weather.

@ Sapper ^ Aw snap, it is too hot here indeed. You're going to Fuji too? Our unit is heading out there for some mobile training. But the good news? I'm not going. Today I was told I'll be filling a billet where my arse will be going to the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore on a frequent basis. Now I have been given the choice to select Korea or mainland Japan as a second duty choice.
Life can't get any better right now. Somebody come here so I can kiss them.

How did you know?^^
Well, my plans for this summer would be our annual pilgrimage to New Hampshire, the Land of the Fireworks. My family and a couple of friends are planning a trip to Water Whiz(what a name!). Its a dinky little water park for poor people who can't afford to go to Water Country. We'll probably also go to Canobie Lake Park which is a dinky little amusement park for poor people who can't afford to go to Six Flags. On top of that I'll do some kayaking and sailing.

It may not be Six flags, but Canobie Lake Park is not (in my opinion) some horrible dinky little amusement park for poor people. As someone who went there every summer as a child, I find it kind of insulting that you would say that about people who go there.
As to not veer off topic and not flame, um it hasnt felt like summer here for about a week. We've had pretty cool weather considering we were high 90s just 2 weeks ago. I need to start buying that Kenshin so I can sit down and watch that this summer (again).

Sorry! Don't worry, I wasn't making fun of you or any one else! I go there every year too! It was just a joke I'm sorry if it was in bad taste or if you took it the wrong way. Some of the best rides are there like the Boston Tea Party. Oh and I reccomend you go when it rains because it doesn't make any difference once you go on the water rides and there's no lines.

I don't mind "dry" heat, without the nasty humidity myself, but there's something to be said for just-right mild temps with lots of sunshine... like Japan in spring or fall, or the gorgeous day we had in Vancouver yesterday.
Hang in there and good-luck coping with the extreme heat!
