Hmm, God Knows was written by Kosaki Satoru, who wrote the Haruhi music (God Knows, Lost My Music, and the Mikuru-beam song), Lucky Star music, some iDOLM@STER hits like "GO MY WAY", all very moé - nothing really guitary...

(the duo are called Psychic Lover - the singer with the huge mouth is called Yoffy, and the guitarist is called Imajo, or sometimes Joe)

...though that's not really anime or game music... they've done some anime themes, like the Witchblade OP, new Gaiking OP, and some game music as well... but I would want to play Dekaranger. ^_^

It's pretty obvious to suggest, but maybe you could cover some Guilty Gear tracks? They're already built for heavy guitar!
