Just saw this on the news, Stan Winston died of multiple myeloma at age 62

Wasn't he immortal? Wow, I'm stunned.

Even with today's CG heavy movies he was working tons. Everyone was using him to build models for their cgs.

Yeah, just found out about Mr. Winston's passing. Truly a loss for the motion picture industry.

This guy was a visual effects guru and heavyweight. Aliens, Jurassic Park, Terminator...I was quite surprised when I saw his death listed on Wiki. This guy was the reason why I'm against today's abundance of CG.

He also did the Predator design. I loved his over-the-top FX work. The sci-fi community will definitely miss him....
