After hearing an anime theme song in its original Japanese, do you make up your own English lyrics (even if there is an official English version)? Just a moment ago, I made up some English lyrics to the OP and ED songs for Golion (the original Japanese version, and not Voltron, which has an instrumental theme).

One thing before you answer, though. When I say "make up", I'm not talking about making up parody lyrics, but rather I refer to making up lyrics that convey the same meaning as the original Japanese lyrics.

EDIT: I think I had better clarify my question. Do you make up English lyrics based on your own translation (not interpretation; there's a difference) of the original Japanese lyrics?

Not really...I usually sing the actual song or don't sing at all. On rare occasions I'll make up my own lyrics.

I do imagine what they are singing about once in a great while, but I usually just listen to the lyrics and enjoy the fact that I can't understand. When you don't understand, it's easier to enjoy the music for what it is. Just my opinion, though.
