Times New Roman is widely used in this day and age to convey a sense of media neutrality and integrity. Times New Roman is a font reminiscent of historical speeches, prized lab reports, established newspapers and a conveyor of the traditional values we all cherish.

Helvetica, on the other hand and as you indeed argue, is a font more suited to grandiose ideas appealing to the artist in us. Its very name implies whimsical fantasies demanding only a creative outlet, which has no place within the professional world of print.

Thus, you will see Times New Roman in all areas of importance. Helvetica can get the spotlight, but Times New Roman is and always will be the leading font.
