Man facing 250 years on child porn charges strikes plea deal

STUART — A 49-year-old homeless man who could have seen 250 years in prison for child pornography charges entered a plea Tuesday for a significantly reduced sentence.
Gregory Allan Downs pleaded no contest to 50 counts of possession of child pornography, and as part of a partially negotiated plea, Assistant State Attorney Vicki Nichols agreed to drop 50 additional counts and cap her recommended sentence at 20 years.
Downs, formerly of Delray Beach, was arrested in February on multiple charges of child pornography and marijuana possession.
According to a Martin County Sheriff's report, a deputy saw Downs’ blue Ford pickup illegally parked in a Jensen Beach construction zone with Downs sleeping inside. When the deputy searched the truck, he found marijuana and 51 CDs or DVDs with printed labels like “Asian girls in various stages of undress,” according to reports.
Many of the girls appeared younger than 12 and a receipt in the truck listed titles like “Saaya Irie Legend 11 years old” and “Pretty Sexy Teens Series,” according to reports.
Downs told a deputy he bought the pictures on the Internet, according to reports.
On Downs’ laptop hard drive, detectives also found pictures of young children at the beach, at playgrounds and walking down streets, according to reports. The children were all clothed, but the pictures seemed to have been taken without the subjects’ knowledge, according to reports.
Downs’ sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
The thing is, as we (http://www.4chan.org) all know, the famous Saaya Irie - Little Legend video came out in October of 2005, and featured no nudity. As a matter of fact, no modern teen idol videos future nudity.
This guy needs a lawyer. a good lawyer, who can understand where he is coming from. Understand why he does what he does, and has the skill to get him out of this mess!
