View Full Version : Father Learns That Kids Don't Inflate

Phnom Penh - A Cambodian father and mechanic learned the hard way not to inflate children when he inserted an air hose designed to fill car tires into his 5-year-old son's anus and blew him up, local media reported on Thursday.

The Khmer-language Rasmei Kampuchea daily reported Try Sienghym was "playing" with his son Sok Sambo when the incident took place.

The paper said the child's stomach became distended and his concerned mother rushed him to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

"The father very much regrets playing like this now," the paper quoted a family member as saying.

Police were not expected to take action against the father, blaming the incident on pure stupidity, against which there is currently no law.

I guess the guy saw too many cartoons. I'd like to say that this probably wouldn't happen in America, but I can picture guys named Jim-Bob and Leroy (who are probably both brothers and father and son) trying this out on someone/something.

So, what kind of punishment do you think this guy would've gotten if it happened in america. I'm guessing some kind of child abuse/neglect, but if he was going to blow him up til he popped, would he get attempted murder?

murder would mean there was intent to kill. possibly first degree manslaughter, more than likely second degree manslaughter

Still, stupid. quite quite stupid...

EDIT: i've never seen this news source before... hmmm credibility questions...

In the US, this'd be classified as Endangerment or Child Endangerment.

In anything other than a Warner Bros. cartoon, it's still very, very stupid.

Still, in terms of stupid, at least this is curable with a prolonged bout of flatulence. Could be worse.

Granted people are quite capable of doing something as idiotic as this but I really have a hard time believing some father was sitting around and thought 'Hey, I think a great way to play with my kid is shoving an air hose in his rear'.

What kind of "playing" involves shoving things up your kid's ***?

Even if this had turned out to be safe... it would still be a cause for concern.

When it said the kid "blew up" I thought they meant he literally exploded (like, guts went flying everywhere)

...Let's just say I was relieved when I read on and found that the above wasn't the case... -_-

I don't even know what to say...

Even though you'll think me an *** for saying this, it would've been funnier if the kid actually blew apart right away.

Sort of like this. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DPhtnhqX9s)

This is so stupid! I'm adding Cambodia to my long list of places I'll never go. I'm surprised it's not already on my list. I just don't want my *** inflated.

Stupidity knows no borders.

I think it was Albert Einstein who said "There are limits to intelligence, but stupidity knows no limit."

Something to that effect.

More like sex abuse of a minor.

I've been praying that stupidity would be made a crime for many years now. No luck so far.

If that man really did this, he deserves to be locked up, then strapped to a bed, laying on his stomach, legs spread, and have an air hose shoved up his a** and have that happen to him to let him see what it feels like!
