Well, I am taking the plunge into graduate school (just thought I would waste more of my money in student loans)...and of course that means the GRE!
I was just wondering if anyone here has taken it and if there are any tips. I hope its not as hard as I heard it was...

I have taken it twice. It is not hard- but I am good at standardized tests.
Best tip is to read a lot and to refresh your algebra and geometry skills.

Like S mentioned, they are all your basic, albeit, more advanced standardized tests. If you performed well on things like the SAT and ACT, you shouldn't have much of a problem with any of those, granted the material will be geared towards either a more specific knowledge set(ie MCAT) or knowledge acquired through taking a general college curriculum(GRE).
Also, there are practice versions and study guides you can buy that can be somewhat helpful as well.

The test is electronic and will give you easier questions if you screw up; this was the most unnerving part for me.
The verbal was difficult, going over a wide range of vocabulary. The math was simple since you are not allowed to use a calculator (average sums, basic geometry, etc.).
You will get your results instantly, scores are higher in math than in verbal.
