The villains are ok. Perona and the Bear are pretty funny. Moria isn't the super cool villain I hoped for but he's ok. You're right Brook is what really makes this story. He is so cool. Oh and I kinda like that haunted environment they're in.

We're at 365 at the moment, I don't know I kinda have mixed feelings about these latter parts of TB, been underwhelmed so far. Aside from Usopp/Perona which ended in epic hilarity :lol: theres rarely an Usopp fight I don't enjoy the guy is just too over the top funny, going in & out of SogeKing mode. Glad that punk doctor got what was coming to him for treating poor Cindry that way.

Its getting very annoying watching Luffy chase Moria around when his crew is getting creamed by Odz. He needs to whoop some *** already, anyone's *** would do at this point.

Up to 371 now and I have to say I've really enjoyed this battle between Oz and the Straw Hat crew, these past few eps. have really showcased how strong they are in group battle(with the addition of Brook of course). I do believe this Oz/Moria combo is a bit overpowered but it seems Nightmare(or should I say Incredible Hulk lol) Luffy is about to change that.

What's up with Gecko Moria? He's a Shichibukai, yet he couldn't even seriously wound Luffy like Crocodile did. I was really expecting something crazy after he swallowed 1000 shadows, but he was wasted easily right after. It's kind of disappointing. But, wow, Bartholomew Kuma is the exact opposite. This guy's a complete monster. I don't read the Manga, so I don't know what happens next, but it looks like the Strawhat pirates are finished.

Don't think Moria was the worst villain they've had, probably the weakest in character. His ability was very unique and annoyingly strong up until the end, when you think about it he really didn't have to stay and fight.
But anyway he's done so lets be grateful for that *high five* Luffy Gear Second+Third FFTW!
Interested to see what Kuma has in store, Strawhats are pretty much thrashed at this point.

I'm actually enjoying the episodes of Brooks past, rather than just being filler its really filling in a gap. Some of it was tear jerking especially with the Rumbar crews final moments playing their last song, oh and lets not forget Laboon's absurd cuteness making some parts that much tougher to watch lol.
Even though we already know Brooks joining the Straw hats I'm still looking forward to 381.

Just did a One Piece-athon from the later half of the Skypiea arc all the way to Thriller Bark. Thriller Bark is my current fav at the moment. I remember seeing this show back in 1999 while in Japan, did'nt think much of it, but now some near 400 episodes later i can say i was very, very wrong. ^__^

Been a while ^_^ since we're in the 400's now figured it'd be time for a good BUMP.

I actually didn't expect Sabaody Island to be packed with so many goodies, the awesome boat is catching some steam. Past dozen or so have had surprises, suspense and action packed while showcasing some sweet new characters with sweeter abilities. Law(very cool), Capone, Hawkins, Scratchmen Apoo(interesting dude, especially after watching 402) are a few that have caught my fancy.
This particular Admiral seems a bit overpowered though, mixed with a group of Pacifista's makes me wonder how the Straw Hats are going to get out of day 1 no less 3 days.
Anyway we'll see *sits patiently*

I wouldn't consider him cocky at all. He just does what he wants to, and that usually includes taking others down a notch because he's a beast.

In my view, they've been pretty comfortable with their strength from the beginning, which is fine. I like Luffy because he doesn't waste time thinking about how weak or helpless he is. When his mind is set on something, he just acts and kicks *** in the process. Also, Luffy and crew don't need to seem human. As Nami points out all the time, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are monsters.:P

Very curious about this Haki("ambition"). Believe this was the 2nd time Luffy's used it on impluse at this point, apparently his is something special. Anyway enjoying the Amazon Liliy arc so far, mostly cause its Luffy-centric :) and Boa Hancock is such a great character to hate. Things are heating up at the moment.

The "Amazon Lily" arc will be coming to a close pretty soon. The most recent episode (which was streamed on the official One Piece website one hour after the JPN broadcast; that's back now) revealed Boa Hancock's backstory, however, I didn't think that was an excuse for insufficient characterization (don't ask, it's a long story). Also, for the arc as a whole, I felt that the "family jewels" joke that used in two certain episodes was unnecessary.

In a related note, is anyone catching the simulcast? I'll bet the "Impel Down" arc will be interesting.

Also, I thought the first half felt like filler, even though the episode was canon. Additionally, I noticed something about the subtitles. Navy Headquarters is located in "Marinford" (exactly as written), and Luffy has to save his brother "Portgaz D. Ace". Are these supposed to be the "correct" English spellings, or were they just FUNi's idea? I always though it was "Marineford" (since members of the Navy in the One Piece world are "Marines"), and "Portgas D. Ace".

I didn't find Amazon Lily as a setting too interesting but when Boa Hancock talks about her past, one just felt extremely sorry for her.

I can't wait to get more detail on what exactly "Haki" is. I like the fact that there is another "force" that can be used to fight logia types.

Latest episode was back to the main story, I liked the build up episodes for the movie but really couldn't wait until this restarted, Buggy and Mr. 3 cracked me up when they were trying to master a plan to get away from Luffy, now they are on level 3, can't wait to see some serious fights and bad guys.

Episode 432 was really great, Luffy's reunion with Mr. 2 was funny as hell, Mr. 2's power should make things a little easier for Luffy, I would guess he has been touched by some powerful people in there so he should be able to change into them.

Been a while since I've posted here suppose its just proof of how much of a blast its been so far. Fast approaching the eleventh hour of Ace's execution, been a thrill a minute to say the least with a few surprises and a whole lotta old faces. With 5+ levels to go through I honestly thought it would take longer but the pace has been rather brisk(by One Piece standards), finally feels like its plunging into the world of the big wigs. With that said I'm just really wondering(especially after Magellan) when Luffy's going to start using his ambition more prominently, he's got to and quick with the power houses to come.
Looking forward to his team up/break out with One Piece's own Tim Curry ^_^ find Ivankov's hormone power and connection with Luffy's old man interesting.
Anyway probably post again another 10 or 30 so ;) may the awesome continue.
