This is a question I can take from both sides. My question is what is your take on facial hair, in the areas of under your lips like a gotee*spelling* and mutton chops down to side burns? As those are the areas where my facial hair is growing in well, I only shave my moustach. If I need I can take pictures to be more personal, as I havent shaved those select areas except my moustach in several months. Yet I keep it trimmed well so I don't look like Grizzly Adams.
Now of course being blonde it comes in very light. Now I would like to look proffesional, but I have asked the Air Force ROTC before I join and they don't have a real concrete answer for me. So for now I will let it grow. ^_^
So, should I go with a naked face or leave it as is?

I can't say for certain since I've never seen you, but I'd err on the side of caution and say shave. By far the majority of women prefer their men without facial hair and some that do like it typically like the "look" but not the "feel." Not a hard and fast rule, but I'm just generalizing. If you do decide to grow facial hair, make sure it's an unobtrusive style and keep it up with regular trimming. Goatees and beards can look good if they are kept short and properly styled for your face.

Yes, sideburns are generally not metal. There are exceptions though. Whether you like it or not, sideburns are cool if you're in a goth metal band.

I can't imagine you with facial hair, ANIMEJUNKY. You have a "fresh," somewhat "boyish" look. That's your thing, and I only see facial hair getting in the way of that.
Anywho, I'd say I prefer guys to not have facial hair, but there are some that look so darned cute with it. So, I guess it really depends on the guy.
HOWEVER, I HATE extremes. Too much beard, too much moustache... *cringe* Although, too little is far worse. Guys that grow out their facial hair, and it's all sparse and straggly. Ugh, I'm disgusted by your impotence! :uhh:
All this talk of beards/mustaches is nice and all, but eyebrows...those sexy bastards can make or break a dude...or dudestress. Thick, Dark, Filled, Not Too Bushy, Definitely Not Sparse... Man, the only advice I can give to a dude with weak eyebrows is to kill himself... To think, I once shaved off my own eyebrows, 'cause I found any kind of facial hair revolting. Kids...

From the pics I've seen of you Animejunkie facial hair won't look good on you, you're face is too "Long" I think for it, Facial hair is really better served on the "Jolly" guy whose a bit heftier and has a rounder face...it frames them well makes it looks more squarish....instead of round, since you're already squarish (and young looking) the facial hair will just be out of place, that said if you want to try it, don't only shave certain places it grows faster if you shave everywhere.

Um, I was thinking the same thing, ANIMEJUNKY...except I was going to say you have a "big head." -_-; Didn't know how you'd take it, though...
I think you're a good lookin' kid (If I was lying, you'd know...I'd avoid commenting on your face...:uhh:). But, you're kinda a "big-headed, fresh-faced Man-Boy." I just can't see it. Grow the hair, prove me wrong! :uhh:

It looks good on some, bad on others. Depends on the shape of your skull. I, for example, with slicked-back hair and one of those small Italian-stereotypish mustaches and pointy beard, would look like the perfect mafioso. However, I could never sport a goatee without looking ridiculous.
I would suggest letting it grow and experiment with different trims to see what works, if you want any facial hair at all.

Thats a bold faced, italicized, all caps LIE.
Although may saves you a bit of kudos. It can either make, or break you. I have peoples coming up to me all the time saying mine looks awesome. Whether they're being sarcastic or not, I have yet to figure out.
I have a chin-strap btw.
Also a bit of advice. If you decide to keep a mustache, be sure to shave it every so often, so it doesn't grow raggedy and itchy. Go clean shaven every once in a while so it stays nice and smooth.

Well if you want to join Air force ROTC the general rule for side burns is that they will not extend lower then exterior ear opening. They also must be neatly trimmed and tapered in the same manner of the haircut. For the rest; breads are a no, and mustaches will not extend past the lipline of the upper lip or sideways beyond a vertical line from the corner of the mouth.
Overall I say go with the naked face, growing facial doesn't work that well for blondes most of the time.

What do you mean by boyish? Not that, I am assuming it is a bad thing. Yes I do trim my eyebrows up a bit to make them look nice and to make my face look kept. what I mean when I say you have a "Young" face is that you look young...undeniably young, some guys in their teens can pass for mid to late twenties ...you can't, and if you grow a beard or even a well trimmed mustache people will look at it as something that doesn't belong there, beards and facial hair ingeneral aren't usually for people who are younger (unless they are chubby then it works for some reason) In my experiance, like my dad and some of my uncles have mustaches and it works for them, but when i had one everyone asked if I had it just to look older...cause I look young too.

Metrosexual?!! That sir, you are not! You kids crack me up..."Metrosexual."
Basically, what DavenIII said. "Fresh," your face glows (not greasy, glowy), you exude Youthfulness. Like, Leonardo DiCaprio is known for his "boyish good looks." Well, at least, his looks used to be boyish in the '90s and early '00s. He's grown out of it. But, not only was he boyish, he was also "teh sex." Brad Pitt also has many boyish qualities - like his smile and shiny eyes!
Anywho, I could talk about hot celebrities all day, but no, I don't think it's a bad thing...some girls dig it. Of course, to hardened old hookers, it's not a desirable look. *Nods head*

* The skin on your face that is covered in thick hair is not accessable to kisses.
* If your mouth is surrounded with short spiky hair, that will make kissing your lips painful. Stubble burn = ouch! Some might like it, but I have not learned to appreciate abrasive kisses.
* The only blond man I know sporting facial hair looks like a garden gnome. I think he wanted to look like a viking or something, but it didn't work.

I once had a kid in the same class as me in high school that only had some sideburns and hair underneath his chin. He only shaved it every once in a while. so it was a nasty mat of thick hair underneat his chin.:x
He also did something that I will not repeat here lest I get instantly banned.
As for me, I shave every other day. I don't need to otherwise unless I go out somewhere on a special occasion. And I use an electric razor because normal razors make my skin raw, making it look like I have pizza face acne.

Ugh, corpsepaint. I think that one of the best things that could happen to me in the future is if when I go to the Dimmu concert, all of the members for some reason decide that they no longer like corpsepaint and stop wearing it. The one thing I don't like about Dimmu is their image. Boooh hardcore black metal <_<.

I love corpsepaint when it's done very well. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen often. I like Dimmu's image except for the weird leather clothing in the photo shoots and Mustio's paint. He looks like Morticia Adams! I like the other member's looks though there's nothing you can do to make Galder less of a weirdo. Also
the matching spiked goalie pads thing needs to go.
I like the Gorgoroth look the most but they should have cut back on the 6 inch spikes and bullet belts. Studded codpieces should be universally illegal.
I don't think that corpsepaint is necessary but when it is done really well, it is totally awesome. Moderation is important but is rarely used. It is either great or absolutely terrible.

I am usually clean shaven, though when I get 'bored' and I want to change my look a bit I will grow some form of facial hair to change things a little, but it only usually lasts maybe a couple months tops.
I've tried heaps of different ways of growing it etc... not sure if any of it looks good though.

I REALLY don't like chest hair, but shaving it (or waxing?) is just so wrong... There are some things you just have to deal with, way I see it.
Now, back hair, that's a Rapidash with something not hot for hair ()... Shave it, Nair It, Wax It, Laser It, Pour Gasoline on it and Send it to Hell, I don't care. Just get rid of it, damn you!! :uhh:

That is pretty damn epic.
I started growing a beard and mustache November 1, 2006 for the sole purpose of shaving almost all of it off for Halloween the next year. leaving only a Hitler-esque mustache to complete my costume as the Gumby Brain Specialist from Monty Python's Flying Circus. I ended up meeting Kagura, who absolutely loves my facial hair. She convinced me not to shave it off this year. I've come to the decision, however, that this damn thing is a pain in the tuckus to maintain with a two-blade razor. I'm definitely going back to my original plan this year. I've been told that it makes me look older and more mature by several people who knew me pre-beard, so I'll almost literally be shaving some years off when it goes.

Jinto - do yourself a favour and get those Mach 3 blades etc. (expensive ones).
It's just a matter of finding what suits you best.
Myself...
I usually shower before I shave, and I wash my face with warm/hot water for a bit (it softens and loosens the skin), I get out, dry down completely, then grab the shaving cream and cover the parts you want to shave with it.. then I use a mach 3, and I run near boiling hot water to very warm water and rinse the blade, then I do one stroke (maybe 2 at times when I'm finishing up), rinse out under the hot water and continue until finished. Having a hot/warm blade helps (me anyway).
I always shave every few days (as mine doesn't grow that fast).
The times I HAVE let it grow out a bit, it takes FOREVER to clean shave it again, AND it is a bit irritating. And often get ingrown hairs momentarily because of it. If I stay clean shaven and do it every few days it's not half as bad.

My facial Hair grows pretty quickly I can go MAYBE 2 days before I have to shave max, I used to do pretty much exactly what Mirkz says...the hot water helped me also (though I did different strokes...I did a lot of short strokes long strokes didn't cut close enough for me for some reason)
Recently I got a Norelco Shaver for a present though...I'm loving it, It took about 2 weeks for me to get used to it (more for my face to) but it works great now...and really its saving me a ton of money not having to buy razors.

Actually, if you look a little closer you may see that only one is completely hairless. He makes up for that with his moustache and I'm sure he didn't shave.
Anyway, it's just a joke. Kill joy!

But don't you think electric shavers don't give you as clean a cut as traditional razor blades?

I prefer an electric razor over a traditional razor. mostly because I don't shave every single day and it hurts to use a traditional razor. I use the Norelco Bodygroomer. not on my body, but on my face. it works great.
I also just bought a pair of clippers so I can trim my beard more easily.

I prefer to stay clean shaven. Every so often I'll get a wild hair (no pun intended) and grow a goatee, but it never turns out looking as fantastic as I think it will, so off it goes after a week or two.
As for shaving methods, I use a regular razor to do the bulk of the work, and I clean up any rough edges (again, no pun intended) with the electric trimmer.

Dude, is there a reason you constantly go around this place trolling like no other? Do you seriously have absolutely nothing better to do with your time than get online and be an *** to everyone?
Why do you even come here if you're going to be so negative all the time? No one is forcing you to read our posts, so why don't you just leave everyone alone? Nobody wants to read your flambaiting bs, okay?
On topic: I really hate how the replacement blades for the razors cost as much as or more than the razors themselves. Wtf is the deal with that? :P

WTF is that? how much do you think the Plastic (or aluminum) Casing around those "Titanium" blades cost...yeah...pretty much nothing, the Blades are the only peice of the razors that actually cost anything to produce...so obviously they are going to be the most expensive part.
By the way earlier it was asked if Regular Razors/ or Electric Razors give a closer shave, personally, I think a Straight Edge probably gives the closest Shave followed by the Regular razors then the Electric razor, but you gotta figure that for me at least, I don't always have time to shave with a straigh edge or a regular razor and I'll either rush it (and cut up my face which looks bad) or let it go a little too long, with an Electric shaver its much faster so I'm less apt to skip a day or cut myself....and really it isn't so much smoother that its noticable without rubbing my face, and personally If a Girls that close I've usually already won.

OMG, exactly my point! You can just buy another Mach 3 razor blade over and over again rather then the replacements. In the end it'll be cheaper which doesn't make any sense. But yeah, I'll have to look into one of those electric shavers.

My woman tells me that she prefers it if I shave. Other girls have told me that they dislike facial hair as well. So I shave. Its always good to be appealing to the ladies even if it makes you a little less manly.
Come to think of it, I need to shave right now.
