Does anyone else vacuum their bathrooms? I was just thinking about that yesterday while I was cleaning the upstairs of my house and began to vacuum my bathroom after vacuuming the carpet up there... I was just wondering if anyone else did that too... (But I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only one....)

I'll vacuum the corners out with the hose thing, but that's it. I wash the floor by hand.

Really tacky camouflage pattern gloves that I got from the dollar store and like to wear sometimes in the house because they're soft. That's a little weird in my book.

Ah, you aren't weird. I vacuum our bathroom floor too. It makes it easier to get all of the little granules of cat litter off the floor that the cat shakes off when he gets out of the litterbox! :P Then, I will scrub the floor.

Not in mine, I wear things around the house because of varying reasons too. (You probably think I'm weird then. lol)

Nope, you aren't! :P I do it simply because if you think about it, when you got a tile floor and it has all those little cracks in between them and you are using a broom, when the bristles hit those cracks, it flings the little bits of litter into spots that you might have just swept. Also, its a HELL of a lot faster! :) Also, if there is any hair, you don't need to worry about digging it out of the bristles of the broom. The vacuum sucks it up! The kind I use is the Shop-Vac Wet & Dry! It also comes in handy if you have to get out of the shower for something you forgot and you splash a slew of water on the floor, the vac will suck it up! :P :huggles: for Animegurl

Why is there a thread for this? The bathroom I'm in is shared by five girls. Dirty as hell in there.

Vaccuum? Nah, let the dirt stay where it will. It's why god invented shower sandles.

That's a good question animegurl. I guess I'll have to ask my cleaning lady the next time she comes, or maybe observe, but that just seems weird to me.

What if a neighbor sees you through a window and calls the police because they think there's a burglar in your house? Then the police arrive, kick down the door and shoot you in your own kitchen because they saw the knife you were preparing dinner with.
What would you do then, eh? :)

I vacuum my bathroom prior to scrubbing it with a washcloth and scrub brush. It isn't weird, some people just don't see the point in doing it.
I find it much better than fully cleaning the bathroom, and I occasionally (I'm very clean, fyi...) do a vacuum sweep weekly, doing the full cleaning every month or so. Keeps it nice and proper without as much effort.

I have to agree with Arucrad2510. lol I only have to share my bathroom with my sister, so it doesn't get too dirty... but she looses her hair like nothing else, so I have to vacuum regularly, while I mop once a week.

I have 2 of them in my bathroom. One just outside the Shower and the other is in front of the sink. I usually move them out of the bathroom and use the vaccum to clean them and that also makes it easier for me just to mop the tiles.

When are they gonna post that video. 5 girls 1 bathroom, starring Videl.
I honestly think that comment crosses the line but I'll leave it up anyway.

lol! The thing is if you don't wear any shower sandals and just get out of the shower and your feet are wet, that litter tends to get messy when wet and it sticks to your feet! lol I don't think blackknight would want litter crammed in between his toes! lol!

I sweep and vacuum my bathroom, but mostly because I don't own a mop (only the laundry room, kitchen, and bathroom are tile; whatever spills gets wiped up manually).
And for those who are surprised about Videl's dirty shared-bathroom (non-raunchy), I can't say I'm surprised. Dorm Bathrooms are, by law, disgusting. Likewise, everyone thinks women are cleaner usually because they'll dress up more or take more pride in appearance - this is a downright lie. Women are just as messy as men.

Well, not to sound bad towards women, but I agree! I should know, I am one after all! lol Yep, we can be just as messy as men. I know myself I prefer to be a little messy around the apartment instead of being Miss Perfect, Neat, and Tidy! lol Ask blackknight! :P He likes to be a little messy too, but he prefers things that way so we are perfect for each other! :) Of course there is 1 BIG exception to this rule. I don't get any kind of "mess" on the seat or leave any "personal" used items laying on the floor or laying around as that is just so disgusting and blackknight doesn't pee on the seat either! We do have our dignity! :P

Women are just as messy as men.
I had to clean bathrooms for as part of a part time job while I was younger, trust me, women aren't just as messy as men....they are FAR worse.
(they don't stink up the place quite as badly though)
PS: Kagura kinda nailed it, she might have some dignity but apparantly not all women do, and men just don't need those "Personal" used items, other then that there's the fact that there is just going to be alot more toilet paper usage in a womens room then a mens room for obvious reasons, mash that and some other things all together (like applying make-up etc etc) and you got the womens room being a MUCH bigger mess then the mens room.

Well, you got it EXACTLY right! :P I know I am going to be lynched for this, but why should men have to put up with our used "personal" items lying around stinking up the place as well as the smelly perfumes, make-up applicators, the high dense fog created by hair sprays, and so forth. Also, there is more toilet paper usage by us because we cannot "shake off" after going to the bathroom and also, because of that "personal" time only girls get. :( Me, why I can state these facts is simply because I am the type of woman that doesn't like all that fancy lady crap such as perfumes, make up, etc. I do wear deodorant though, but none of that stink stuff. Besides, blackknight prefers me more natural than all that fake, cover up stuff which I think perfumes and make up are made to 1: Hide stinky odors from "personal" time, not properly bathing, or sweat and 2: make up is basically to hide aging, pimples, and all that sort of stuff! lol So yeah, most women have disgusting bathrooms. I have seen my fair share of them but I can say, I keep blackknight and I's bathroom clean! No yuck from me lying around except, every now and again we throw our clothes on the floor when we are getting in the shower together! :P And for sharing a bathroom with a man, I can say he is a decent guy. No pee on the seat, no shavings all over the place, etc.
Vacuuming a bathroom does make it easier than sweeping it! I recommend that some of you should give it a try! :P

Mens' restrooms always look so clean. It's funny, 'cause anytime I'm in a girls' restroom it's always, "This is just ridiculous. I'd expect this of men, but we're supposed to be women!" I usually say the same thing. But, it's a bit understandable. OK, in no way acceptable, but think about it.
Women DO NOT sit on public toilets. I guess there are some out there, but I'm not diggin' it...not even with seat covers. So, the aim is just plain lousy. *Thinks* But it always goes beyond that. There are just some nasty chicks out there. I remember in high school, one of the janitors came over the intercom and said that if the girls didn't shape up, the girls' restroom would not be cleaned. Now, that's pathetic...
Although...there was this dude that was allowed (well, unofficially) to use the girls' bathroom...maybe he was to blame..?!!
Oh, and no, No Vacuuming. The bathmats are washed and the floors mopped.
