I don't have a whammy so it doesn't go out of tune at all, unless I need new strings, which is about once a month if I take good care of them. Also, I'm a metal enthusiast, so it's fitting that the guitar I would want to play would be a guitar specifically made for metal. Plus it's got 24 frets, fwah fwah fwah.

Not particularly. I do however find him fun to watch live (which I've done twice) and I do enjoy DragonForce. But I probably wouldn't rank him even in the top 20-30 guitarists of current metal bands. In any case, I got this guitar before I knew Herman Li also played an Ibanez.

I must say Woooh; that though your Ibanez is rather boss, Suki's Fender is fittingly sexier. That said, nothing trumps a B.C. Rich when it comes to style. The Beast, Warbeast and Warlock are the sexiest guitars ever!

Some Gibson/Baldwin thing. It's all I need for learning right now and it came with the cutest little practice amp you've ever seen. Got it for 80 bucks brand new so it's a deal but it still leaves something to be desired when it comes to style.

As a matter to fact, I find that on my most ancient Jazz albums, I can find solos done on guitar, voice or even drums. The only difference is that the solos seem to be more or less embellished with the music, so that they are less obvious to the ear as solos. Hell yes I am, and i'm proud to make that bold statement. I find that most modern jazz and blues are trashy, putting too much emphasis on the instrument instead of the feeling of the instrumentation.

I love Maynard Ferguson, every single one of his songs had all the emotion you could cram into five or six minutes. And his range wasn't to be messed with. I'd say he still has one the highest ranges, ever. Each composition would take your mind with it, the flow, complexity and rhythm just moves you. Solos would be connected to the connotation of the piece, so it didn't stick out as much as modern artists nowadays. I think that's what modern Jazz lacks, harmonic flow. Some other notable artists would be, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis(Birth of Cool), Rafael Mendez, and Claudio Roditi.

But some modern jazz I don't mind, SOIL & "PIMP" Sessions, and Return to Forever are a joy to listen to. Mainly because Freeform Jazz emphasizes individuality. However, it connects well with the music. There's still flow, and not a build up to a solo and what not.

Alright, against my better judgment (must be the chocolate high O_O), I've decided to post a picture from Halloween. Yes, a bit late I know.

I *attempted* to be a geisha last Halloween, but well....when your hair doesn't work out and you don't have time to make actual ornaments....this is what you end up with. A horrid example of what not to do. If my nose wasn't so huge, I might have actually looked decent (once you got past everything else that is :P)

I also couldn't tie my obi worth crap, so ended up just wearing the damn ita thingy (yes, there are Japanese somewhere that would spit at me for this sad, sad image).

Not deployed really. I'm stationed in Okinawa, taking a humvee course. Those are protestors outside of Camp Hansen, but I'm actually living in Camp Courtney. My date on the camera has always been off, but I don't care. There are peaceful protestors several mornings every week, they just shout things like "remove Range 4 (Army SF range)" and "war is bad, mmmkay." But stay out of the way of other vehicles.

Razor wire with two sticks of C4, and its pretty much an improvised explosive. If I had to make this in a real situation, I would set it up next to one of our obstacles so when the enemy comes up to it they're ****ed.

Oh its supposed to be a spool of barbed wire not razor wire, but in most cases you'll have to use whats around you, or what you have.
