Back in ye olden days when I was more active, I suppose I livened up the place with a bit of creativity.

And not as a Knight, but as a Holy Knight, I made sure to arrive fashionably late to all incidents requiring my services in the ways and concepts of life. The Halo's not all for show, you know? Holy Knights require grand entrances and such and it cost me an arm and a leg to make sure of that. Good thing my title comes with a hefty pay grade.

As ORANGE-KUN, I've delivered lulz to the masses with a genuine attention whorish emo kid attitude, complete with an extremely gay catch phrase. Also, while admittedly debatable, I've single-handedly raised awareness of Fight Club to the masses. People on Accelerated-E still talk about the legend behind ORANGE-KUN, which makes me both honored and irate.

As Lord Kuroishi, I had single-handedly turned PB&G into a concentration camp of Gaiaf**s, keeping each of them from spreading to other, more intellectual forums. Ironically, it was through said concentration camps that outsider Videl had grown an interest in roleplaying, thereby becoming a mod of the RPG forum, then going from RPG mod to Off-Topic mod to full-blown S-mod. In other words, Prons' ego is almost as much of a lie as GLADOSofanime's cakes.

Finally, in my current incarnation as Timaeus, my role is no longer so much about revolution and attention gathering as it is keeping up with a calmer status quo. I don't desire the spotlight as much as I did before, and the fact that I am on good terms with Videl, GoA, Sushi, and Treize (all due to the Bleach forums/RPG) is more than enough for me.

I've been thinking about this since the thread started and it doesn't feel like much.

Back when there was a Kenshin sub-forum and Kenshin-related club, I'd like to think I was one of the strongest contributors in each area. I remember after one thread of my constant posting near-Desslock-sized walls of text* someone said there should be an "Ask Suiko" Thread. So, I created one. Then someone posted about me infringing on Ask John and I argued that it was only Kenshin-related stuff. My largest contributions, though, were on the topics related to the history, fighting styles, and fringe information from the Hiden and Kaden books and how it all played into Kenshin. Having experience in classical Japanese martial arts and Kenshin motivating me to read up on the actual history surrounding it, I was more than happy to do it. In fact, I kinda miss it.

I was also one of the people who made SD&D look like a prelude to In Falnders Fields. I liked to think of myself like a CTL with none of the debating skills, class, or money.

In more recent times, I feel like AN's crotchity neighbor, what with the kids and their damn music. :lol: Well, by crotchity neighbor, I mean a fan of classic anime and old-school fansubbing principles. I consider myself one of its advocates on the forums who are always recommending classic stuff.

*The problem was that I was still developing my own writing voice, so while they were Desslock sized posts, they actually had about as much content as corncopp's posts.

Now, I stick to the VG and OT forums (avoid PB&G like the plague), and try to keep up with the likes of Bernard Monsha and Leader Desslock. Though they are far too cynical and well-read for me to ACTUALLY keep up, it's still fun to post when I can find something relevant to say.

Speaking of PB&G, in observer80's Anime Tournament thread, I was directly responsible for Blue Gender beating out Zipang, as well as for Rurouni Kenshin beating out Gunbuster, Berserk, and (arguably) the favored Hajime no Ippo. In my hijacking, controversy arose, and the tournament inevitably got derailed and then locked. Needless to say, it was my greatest achievement on AN since Lord Kuroishi's Holocaust of Boredom.

Yet another thing I did for AN. Derived from the SOS Brigade of Haruhi Suzumiya fame, the SOB Brigade is comprised primarily of users who have participated in my Bleach RPG, and generally think they can do a better job of telling the story than Kubo Tite (mangaka of Bleach) can. The "SOB" is supposed to stand for "Saving our Shounen Jump by Overwriting Bleach," and any references to the more obvious acronym of "SOB" is purely coincidental.

As for the forum itself, I've not contributed to AN as much and/or as often as I would've liked. But considering the fact that I only get through about 1 to 3 anime/manga series a year, I just don't have much to talk about. I pretty much only post if I can either contribute with something others haven't already covered, or simply answer someone's question. Otherwise, I'm probably one of AN's greatest ever lurkers. (And by greatest, I mean in the sense that I have the least amount of posts per month than just about anyone else.)

* Had forgotten this until recently: For the AN store, I suggested that they include the prebook dates on their figure pages. Since the pages are removed from the site after this date passes, it's certainly convenient to actually know how long you have to place your order, or if it's disappearing tomorrow.
