I've been dreaming about this one guy i really like, i dream about him everyday and their different, not the same. what do you think they mean? i think their messages of whats going to happen in the future, i'm not quite sure, but i really want to know, " Are they gonna come true?" or "Are they just dreams that are only tormenting me about the guy i really like?". its so frustrating, are the dreams telling me were mean't to be together? please tell what are your guy's opinions?

You like him so he's on your mind a lot, thus that's why you're dreaming about him.

Hey you're from CA? which part?
Dreams don't really mean anything, they're just random bits and pieces of your mind.

To further assess the depth of this problem, I will need to ask you a few questions.
Question One: Have you ever owned, or plan to own, a pair of night vision goggles?
Question Two: What is the longest you have ever held your head underwater? More than five minutes?
Question Three: When eating paint chips, do you prefer breaking the pieces off by hand, or with a blunt object? Or do you just grip it by the husk?
Question Four, part one: What images/feelings/emotions do you get when you hear the words 'Stalker', 'Restraining Order', 'Can 'o Tuna', and 'Doggy'?
Question Four, part two: Are the results for each word the same?
Question Five: If it scratches, do you itch it?
If the answer to any of these questions is 'yes', 'moose', or '*NERVOUS TWITCH*', I dare say your dreams are not the issue here.

I rarely ever remember what I dreamt... And if once in a blue moon I do remember them, they tend to stay in my mind for a loooooong time...

Freud believed dreams exist as a means of expressing the feelings (naugty feelings, mostly...that Freud sure loved the naughty) which we couldn't express in our everyday lives. 'Course, science doesn't really support that theory... :P
Oh, and about symbolism in dreams. Some believe that even if dreams are symbolic, they can be interpreted to mean anything. The pineapple can be a horse or a spaceship, we're all right! So, that gets us nowhere...and some believe dreams don't mean anything. What was it that Freud said about cigars? :naughty: They're not very good for you!
There are a few other theories concerning dreams...nothing as "special" as Freud's, though...I could talk about them if you like...

I had this strange dream about having anal sex with dogs... Am I psychologically healthy. becuase I think it turned me on freakishly and then it was followed by a splitting headache.
Honestly I think dreams make you feel good when you're thinking about something really hard, or make you feel worse if you're under stress. For example I've had a number of dreams in which I've found something I thought I've lost or miss placed, and only once did I find that item in the same place in real life.
but I've rarely had a dream that made me feel worse about something due to stress, becuase usually if it comes to that I can't sleep at all from the start.
and then there's the occasional fantasy girlfreind dream which I know is a man's desperation for sex.
In all, dreams could be about anything really, I don't think one item could represent nothing and everything all at once, at least not all the time. I've heard that dream sequences last 5 minuets and then change, and if they're in color you're considered intelligent in some respect.

Hmm, I think I'm qualified enough to act as Freud's proxy... Yuki, in my professional opinion, as a teething tot you used the family dog as a chew toy. Of course, this was during that whole "Oral Fixation" Stage, so you unconsciously associated dogs with this pleasure. You told your family, you were scorned, as a result, you pushed the memories deep into your subconscious. And now...
Aw, go to sleep, kid... <_<

I frequently dream about a female Higurashi version of Freddy Krueger*, but I still turn up okay. If you really like this guy, just give him your attention and try not to say anything cheesy about your dreams.
*Okay, it was my ex in a zombie movie, and I only dreamt it once. But I still lol'd when I woke up.

Dreams aren't reality, unless you act to make them real yourself. Just because you have a dream about someone doesn't mean they are, or are going to be madly in love you with you. You probably have to make an effort to let this guy know you are interested, just because you have dreams of him doesn't mean he is going to sweep you off your feet.
Just my opinion.

Dreams are a mix of desires, emotions and events all in one. NAturally, those you feel strongly about are going to be dream priority, thus you dream about them.
Here we have a boy whom you like, so you dream about him. It just confirm your crush. Prescience is another thing, which is quite different from a dream offering a possible future, which is an unintentional effect of said dream. Dream long enough and you'll eventually come to dream what will happen simply because all possibilities are exhausted. That isn't prescience.

It's funny though cause I have a phobia of dogs Aha, that explains everything.
Allow me to "in"laborate (don't know why I put that "in" there). Yuki, you don't hate dogs, you're just afraid of them. It's kinda like me and cockroaches. *Sees cockroach, throws am empty beer bottle at it* Get out of here, you filthy *****! I dun love you no mo'!
*Cough* Anyhow, you don't have the CHUTZPAH to actually approach dogs in your everyday life, so you do it in your dreams. And, nothing brings two beings closer than sweet, sweet but... I don't have it in me to finish that sentence... See, simple huh? "But Midoriko, my headache?"
Oh, my dear stupid, that can be attributed to cognitive dissonance. Come, sit on my lap, and I'll tell you the tale of a man named Festinger, Leon Festinger... Well, I actually don't know much about him, but he thought up something called the Cognitive Dissonance Theory. When two or more of our thoughts and/or actions clash, we experience discomfort. But, that isn't all. In order to ease this tension, we often change our thoughts to support our behavior. *Shakes Yukimura* Fight it man, fight it! Don't become a dog rapist!!
 Yes!
Also, don't believe that intelligent persons dream in colour a-holery. Danged near everyone dreams in colour. Remember 95% of the population falls within 30 points of 100 (the average) on the Wechsler scale: 34% between 100 and 115, 34% between 100 and 85, 13.5% between 85 and 70, 13.5% between 115 and 130. Then, there are the extremes... I forgot those numbers though...
I think we all know where Midoriko falls. :shifty: "What, 56?!!" F You! So yea, you learn something new everyday!

Sometimes dreams can be prophesies. Like, if you had a dream where someone told you that you're siggy was way too biggy and that an army of dragon riding mods was on their way to burn down your castle and punish you!!!

When she's gonna go up to him and say "Your love, is like, a roller coaster baby baby, I wanna ride," Sorry to send it OFF TOPIC but I have a notion the OP wanted to stress the fact she's dreaming about a guy who I presume is a "total hottie," and I'm sure everyone on AN would like details.
How about lucid dreaming? That way in your dreams you can take control and say "Your love, it's like... a roller coaster, baby baby, I wanna ride!"

I don't believe anyone would have a dream about their signature size -_- who's that desperate and obsessive enough to think about it like that? Unless it came spontaneous and random.
Also about the dog thing, it's hard to say anything becuase it was so spontaneous and random. I get random dreams all the time. I don't think this dream means much of anything.

Anywayz, Thread-Starter, I agree with Jatz and other people... Still, you should ask him out. You may find this hard to believe, but I, too, once loved a man...well, I've loved many men...and they were all smokin' hot... Hmm, where am I going with this? Oh Yes! Tell this man how you feel! I want you to be better than me (I know, a darned near impossible feat but still...)

I think Yukimura-Sanada is fixated at the Anal stage.
On-topic: No, your dreams are not going to magically ''come true'' unless you do something about your dreams. It's merely wishful thinking on your part - nothing more, nothing less.

Fixing a long signature is one thing, but worrying about the reason why it was so long is something different. If you have a problem with the signature length take it up with AN staff.

I heard you dream about the last thing you're thinking about before you go to sleep. And I know for a fact that if you sleep on your left side, you'll have nightmares, and if on your right side, you won't. Don't believe me? Give it a shot. There's science to back this up, but go ahead and experiment first.

I rarely wake up from a nightmare and I sleep in the most comfortable position possible, (which does change) also when a lot is on my mind enough for me to worry sleep is hard to come by. Then again I try to stay up as late as I can till I'm too tired to think and fall asleep easily. not exactly healthy But that's why I like working nights lol, then I can sleep late, and go to school the middle of the day.
