I've read Thirst for Love and I'm planning to read his tetralogy but I can't seem to find the first book so I have to put it off for the moment.

I really like japanese novels because they portray the dark thoughts of man and often, they have tragic endings.

BTW, have you read Natsume Soseki's "Kokoro"? It's one of my faves, it made me cry...

After the Banquet is the only one I read and that was for school. I might look into some of his other hetero pieces of works.
