Prinny cosplay Help!

Three of us guys wanna cosplay prinnys...we have seen no costumes out there so far(to buy)If you happen to not know what a prinny is its from Disgaea.
We don't know how to really get rolling with the costume making >.<
We are trying to aim to look kinda big, not just a blue sack that we tossed on. How would we go about this!?

I know nothing about cosplay, but I am a rabid Disgaea fan.
