View Full Version : Any films or manga with Sade?

Does anyone know of any films or manga that feature the Marquis de Sade as a character, or are based on one of his works (Justine, Juliette, 120 Days of Sodom)?

Barring that, I'm looking for stories that feature these typically "Sadean" elements:

1) isolated, enclosed setting (castle, monastery, etc.)
2) master(s) have absolute authority over victims
3) orgies/gangbang
4) torture
5) murder (especially during sex act)
6) anal sex
7) scat

The closest thing I have come across so far is "Behind Closed Doors," but there's no murder or gangbangs, and the scat and anal are both limited.

Thanks!

The only one with murder in it that i can think of at the moment is bible black new testement, but that doesnt include much torture/gangbangs/scat.
i would try looking at Ail Maniax or Bondage game, i personally havent seen them but apparently they are two of the most extreme hentai series out there
hope that helps

wait for John C. Watson or loplop to give you a more thorough list on all that. or you can go to John C.'s thread which is Hentai Fetish Database.

Most of those things are outside of my own tastes, but see the "Who knows a really sick bdsm hentai?" (http://www.animenation.net/forums/showthread.php?t=211949) thread for recommendations. See also the database linked in my .sig.

Thanks to all of you for your help! I'll be sure to look at the films you suggested, as well as other ero-guro anime and manga.

Otherwise, please let me know if you happen to come across a film or manga where Sade himself is somehow mentioned or referenced. (It's for research purposes, as I'm trying to determine the influence of Sade on contemporary Japanese culture.)

Thanks again!

 Seriously, I am doing research! But I love adult anime, I just thought I'd explain the obsession with Sade. To me, that's stranger that enjoying ero guro (which I do).

true, but stranger than fiction? stranger than fact? or just plain strange?

so far the only sade hentai that i saw and i liked were Night Shift Nurses, Princess 69 and Pidgeon Blood. i tried watching Bondage Game, but my gut just can't hold it. i feel sad about the torturing of the ladies. i don't want that. not unless if they really felt the pleasure. but i just think they were being forced in that situation. i mean, isn't that what it's for? pain for pleasure. however, that hentai is just too much. i didn't even feel the pleasure myself. for me it's just too painful to watch.

Princess 69 and Pidgeon Blood is alright for me. not too extreme but not too light. Night Shift Nurses, far from alright, a little bit extreme but not too much. i can still feel the pleasure hidden in them.

Are you only looking for anime or are you also looking for live-action recommendations as well?

if you're also looking for a live action, i recommend La Blue Girl Live Action. though i'm not a person that's into live action, not even with Death Note.

If you have any other live action recommendations, they'd be much appreciated! I'm familiar with a lot of the films based on Sade's life and works (Jesus Franco, Pasolini), but if you know of any others, that would be great.

Night Shift Nurses is one of my favorite series. I haven't seen Bondage Game or Ali Maniax yet; I just found them on monthly sites, but I'm waiting to see if an uncensored DVD ever comes out before forking over the membership fee. I have to admit I didn't really like Princess 69; for some reason I'm not a fan of the animation in a lot of Kitty releases.

i don't quite get what you're referring to here. when you're talking about the word "Sade" here, are you referring to a person? or a genre for hentai?

putting that aside, i'm a fan of Kitty Media releases. well, at least some of them. some releases can be crappy too and not worth watching eg. animation, story and plot quality. most companies released by Kitty Media are Milky Animation Label, Green Bunny and ARMs. there maybe more but those are just some of the hentai companies i know released by Kitty. some of their hentai are my favorite.

as far as live action is concerned; well, there's La Blue Girl, Ogenki Clinic, Kekko Kamen, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Angel of Darkness and Flower and Snake. those are the live actions i know. i heard they're making a Bible Black live action too. to be honest i'm not a huge fan of live action. that ruins my resolve to not watch real people porn unless i'm the one doing it or i'm involved in the process. for me, watching hentai is better than the live action. girls are cuter, prettier, sexier and more erotic.

anyways. just wait for later posts. maybe John C. and loplop will drop by and add more live action for you. have fun.

Kitty Media's sources of hentai, from this (out of date) post (http://www.animenation.net/forums/showthread.php?p=5967173#post5967173):

Animac (one title), CherryLips (all), Digital Works/Vanilla Series, Discovery (four), Five Ways (some), Green Bunny/Beam Entertainment, Milky (now M.S. Pictures), Moonrock (all but one), and Muse (all three).

Note that the post is based on distributors, not animation studios like ARMS. (I plan to update that post one of these days.)

The Sade I'm referring to was a person, the Marquis de Sade, a French writer during the eighteenth century. (From him we get the word "sadism.") His influence seems pretty big in adult anime, so I was just wondering if there were any films that featured him as a character or reference.

Thanks again to all for your suggestions!

Well, have you seen Quills with Kate Winslet? Geoffrey Rush plays the Marquis de Sade.

Have you seen any of the Justine movies? I've watched a couple so I could give my insight on them. I haven't actually seen the Jess Franco version. My Franco movies are limited to the ones with nuns in them. :)
