So, what kind of sports are you guys into? (if any)

I can honestly say, that besides NFL football, my favorite sport is tennis. I'm watching the Australian Open right now.. just kind of inspired this thread I guess.

So what sports, teams, athletes do you enjoy watching?

Oh, and I don't play any sports.

Boxing before the '90s and MMA.

I also compete in both and am the greatest in the world.

I can't stand to watch team sports, although I don't mind playing them. I find American football especially boring to watch, but playing it is awesome because I can tackle chumps.

My Sports are American Football number 1 by far (huge giants fan) then after that I can watch some Baseball, Nascar (if you consider it a sport) Bowling (because I Bowl a lot) Boxing and UFC are always fun to watch as well, but nothing really holds a candle to American Football.

I prefer playing sports over watching them anyday tho.

I'm not so much into watching sports as apposed to playing them. But I will watch some championship games every now and then. My philosophy: If its not me on the TV, its not worth watching.

I never new you had a sense of humor. Your a fan of boxing, and you say that you're the greatest?

I'm a big time Formula 1 fan. Not many people would get up at 7:30 AM on a Sunday to watch something on TV. It's not always on Sundays though.

I can't wait till March when the season starts up again.

I watch soccer(football.) Despite being Canadian, I don't really like hockey. I usually follow the big international cups, champions league and the Portuguese Liga(BWINLIGA.) My team is Sporting Lisbon.

I don't watch TV, so no sports here.

I practice Martial Arts, but I'm not into sports. For anything other than as a pastime or to keep yourself fit, I consider them useless.

Shame Hamilton didn't become first Rokie to become world champion. One point! Talk about tragic.

He choked. You could see him spazing out when everyone was on the track before the race. His dad was trying to calm him down. You can't blame him. He was facing the fact that he might become the first rookie to win the driver's championship in history. That's a ridiculous amount of pressure. And he might be champion on a technicality because two teams were using illegal fuel. The temperature was out of regulations.

McLaren didn't even really win ANYTHING last year, cause they stole Ferrari's designs. So actually Hamilton didn't even truely win. The FIA's fine was way to leniant.

This season is gonna kick major *** because the cars don't have a lot of their electronics anymore, meaning it's the driver's skill that counts a lot more. I got ticked off last year, cause it was either Mclaren-Mercedes or Ferrari. It was ****ing annoying. Last year was the first season that I watched. It's too bad, because I never could catch the races before, meaning that I missed watching Michael.

Tell me about it! Although when have the FIA ever ruled favourably for Maclaren. Still he has the chance to become the most iconic figure in the history of motorsports, his debut season was at least the most iconic there has ever been.

McLaren didn't even really win ANYTHING last year, cause they stole Ferrari's designs. So actually Hamilton didn't even truely win. The FIA's fine was way to leniant.

Nah, if anything the punishment was too harsh. All teams(including Ferrari) are guilty of passing on intellectual property. Maclaren have also had intellectual property stolen from them by Ferrari. I think in the end the FIA said enough is enough and made Maclaren a scape goat, to try and get rid of the negative PR surrounding F1. However what they didn't expect is such a huge backlash both from figures within the motorsport and the press. After all the two main things about handing down punishment is that the punishment has to fit the crime and the punishment has to be consistent with the punishment other car brands get. I guess everyone was just like, $100 freakin million dollars for such a crime is absurd.

This season is gonna kick major *** because the cars don't have a lot of their electronics anymore, meaning it's the driver's skill that counts a lot more.

Really? Its the first i've heard about these electronics. Can you tell me some more.

What! Last years championship was considered a classic and a watershed in F1's history. You got Alonso, who is the youngest ever World Champion and tipped to surpass Schumacher, against the greatest ever Rokie in the sports history (who I might add overshadowed Alonso throughout the season). It also had a lot of contreversy, some good for the sport and some bad. Never before had Fl attracted so much interest of telivision viewers as it did in 2007 season. This was partly credited to Hamilton.
The conclusion was thrilling and just as contreversial as the rest of the championship with Kimi, the Dark horse pulling off a sneaky win. Something that would not have been if it were not primarily for mechanical failure of the car (which was a major problem in 06 but almost no exist in 07) and Hamilton's bad luck, in the last two races.
But in the world of motorsports, sh*t happens.

Wow this is SUCH a niche post.

The only sport I currently "officially" play is ultimate frisbee, for my college team. It's really addictive. Soccer and baseball are my two sports, though, and those are still my favorite to play. I've also dabbled in martial arts and swimming, though I don't really do either of those any more. I'd really like to start playing rugby, though. Rugby looks like so much fun.

As far as watching goes, I'll watch any weightlifting or strongman competition if I come across them, and I guess I'd watch bodybuilding if they ever showed it on TV. Football is always fun, especially if it's the Patriots.

Rugby is the mofo greatest sport to play. Either rugby of football.

And Meggles, all I have to say to you is go go Pats. I think we can seal a fourth this year, especialy with the form Brady is in right now.
I actualy chuckled in his 60 minutes interview. When he was asked which of his 3 superbowl wins were his favourite he said 'the next one, I always say to myself that the next one is always the best'. His other quotes included something along the lines of 'i've achieved so much in life. But I feel like its not enough. I think about how great I am and the 3 superbowl rings i've won and I think, Brady is that all you can do, is that all there is, im sure there are more for you in life'.
Well thats confidence for you!

Thats Very True I loved playing soccer, I used to be on a Traveling team, that said i can't watch it, between Baseball and Soccer and Curling I'm not sure which is more boring to watch.

American Football is by FAR the most fun to watch on TV of any sport, its not even up for discussion if you ask me :P
