Opinions on Dai-Guard

I've honestly only watched the first DVD, and it's pretty good...if not a little bland. I can tell it's either going to be a really good series, or one heck of a campy-ness fest.

Should I continue checking out this series, or should I duck out while I still have my dignity?

LOL, I bought it and I hadn't even heard of it before. But hey, it's hard to turn down an anime DVD for only $5, especially where I live. :lol:

The whole thing was $10 for the brick at Best Buy. It does indeed get more enjoyable. A pretty fun super robot series. Probably nothing spectacular at the end of the day though. Passable, but for the money, if you've got the time, it's more than worth it.

I sort of had this title confused with Shinesman with the office-workers-battling-aliens theme. If you were looking for cool invincible giant robots this one isn't it. The aliens look like they were borrowed from EVA. It's sort of disappointing seeing a robot anime limited by cost-containment and bureaucratic issues. I gave it an average rating. I'd watch it for $5.00.

I bought it for $15 total at one of ADV's 75% off sales, and I guess it was worth that price. I really hated it until episode 4, which really caught my interest for some reason.

It's a fun show, can get serious at times. I'd say a rent is about all it deserves.
