The major players involved were Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata and Toshio Suzuki.
Top grossing film was Spirited Away.

right except for the one about the first film produced by the studio, Nausicaa was made before the studio was founded but it was the film that led to the creation of Studio Ghibli.
your answers are complete enough, so take the next question

Some interesting rules I found on the official site:
*Photography and video recording are not allowed inside the Museum.
-The Ghibli Museum is a portal to a storybook world. As the main character in a story, we ask that you experience the Museum space with your own eyes and senses, instead of through a camera's viewfinder. We ask that you make what you experienced in the Museum the special memory that you take home with you.
*Those who are sensitive to light should be aware that in the Permanent Exhibition Room, there is an exhibit that flashes bright bursts of stroboscopic light.
*The garden roof may be closed in case of inclement weather.
*The Cat Bus is for elementary school children and under only.
*It is prohibited to enter the Museum with dangerous objects.
*Any activities which may interfere with the operation of the Museum, either inside the Museum or in the facilities related to the Museum, are strictly prohibited.
*No re-entry to the Museum is allowed.
*Visitor parking is not available at the Museum. You are kindly requested not to come to the Museum by car.
*Meetings, speeches, distribution of leaflets, and exhibit and sales of goods are prohibited within the Museum.
*Photography or video recording of the Museum for commercial purpose is not allowed.
*Ticket purchase for resale is not allowed.

GREAT work. And thank you for the extra information. :)
The ticket pricing varies depending on the travel/booking or tour company and time of year for this particular tour. I did not mention that before however you will not be penalized for your research. Average ticket prices to the museum that were given will be accepted. And you did some currency exchange as well! Cool.
It is now your turn. Go for it.

Nausicaa

And What do they discovers about the poisonoius plants?
First of all, Happy New Year and belated holiday greetings.
The name of the fighter who attacks the airships is ASBEL.
Nausicaa finds Asbel being attacked by insects and catches him as he falls off a cliff. However her mehve is hit by an insect and they both crash where she became unconscious for a period of time. She dreams of an incident in the past where she was traveling with relatives and happened upon a baby ohmu. This baby, to her despair, was taken away by her father.
They discover that the trees in the fukai are absorbing the poisons and purifying the soil in the surrounding area. On a larger scale, the fukai is slowly cleansing the water and soil of the Earth.

SORRY FOR THE DELAY. If you can answer these from memory, then you have seen this feature one too many times. :P
Kiki's Delivery Service.
1) What is peculiar about all the men in Kiki's family as compared to the women?
2) Kiki had a run in with the law when she first arrived in town. Describe the manner in which she avoided being detained.
How did she come to start working at the bread shop?
ladyshiro
February 6th, 2011, 06:16 PM
1. The men in the family are human the women in the family are witches.
2. The boy Tombo made a distraction for the cop. The cop told Kiki to stay right where she was while he took care of the problem Tombo created. Kiki snuck away into a side street with Tombo soon following. Kiki flew away to get away from Tombo.
3. After getting the pacifier for the baby. Osono invited Kiki to stay in the empty room they had at the bakery. Kiki agreed to stay there and to work at the bakery in exchange for her room, board and phone. Osono said it would help them out since she was going to have a baby.

Spirited Away
What is Haku's real name that Chihiro helped him remember and how did she help him remember? Why is it he can't go home? And what happened when she told him?
Haku's real name is Kohaku.
She helped him remember his name by referencing her experience of falling into a river when she was younger. It had occurred in her hometown and she was saved by the current.
Haku could not go home because he was under the spell of Yubaba. There was a black slug that was inside of him.
Upon remembering his name, the spell was broken.
I hope the answers suffice.

It looks as if the other reason Haku could not go home was because his true form is of a dragon and he is connected to the river.

It works. I was also looking for because the river he was connected to had been filled in.

Sherlock Hound.
1) What was peculiar about all the characters?
2) How many episodes were there in total?
b) How many were directed by Miyazaki?
3) What was the reason Miyazaki discontinued with directing?
4) Describe the kind of technology that some of the characters used and who inspired this type of design?
5) Holmes, in any of his media incarnates, always had a signature prop. Name it.
Maybe straight forward, maybe not. Sorry it took so long.

let see if I get it right again when answering it a second time.
1. almost all the characters are depicted as anthropomorphic dogs. Sherlock is a fox.
2. 26 episodes
b. Six episodes were directed by Hayao
3. There was problems with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's estate led to a suspension in production.By the time the issues were resolved Miyazaki had turned to other projects and thus the remaining episodes were directed by Kyosuke Mikuriya
4. The show featured regular appearances of Jules Verne-steampunk style technology, adding a 19th-century science-fiction atmosphere to the series
5. That would be a "Pipe" My dear Watson.
How I do a second time.
And the carebear is only for a 80s week then it back to ladyshiro.

Okay Earthsea...
What is Arren true name?
And what was he afraid of?
What is the unknown presents following him?
I read a couple of the books like 15 years ago...but am not too familiar with the anime adaptation.
Arren's true name is Lebannen.
He is afraid of...death. He tells Therru that he is afraid of his darkside and shadow.
The unknown presence following him is his shadow.
PLEASE let me know if these are correct.

This question is in regards to the domestic releases of studio Ghibli movies.
A) Before the release of Princess Mononoke on domestic home DVD, there was a big outcry from the fan community. What specifically was the reason for their potential displeasure?
B) What differentiates Miyazaki's domestic releases (theatre and DVD) as compared to anime releases from other distributors and directors (the more detail, the better)?
I am not sure if this was asked already and I hope the wording (and not the question itself) is lucid enough for those of you who are up for this quiz. LoL.

ok this is a complete guess but
i would assume that it was becuse nasicaa was handled so badly by new world pictures people probally thought this would end in the same edited mess that nasica had also I would say that the use of actors as voice actors were also frowned on
well i would say that the backing of disney is the major diffrence and the fact that myazakis latter work has been more kid friendly then his older stuff and becuse like disney movies kids and adults can enjoy the movie without the use of fart jokes

Thank you for trying your hand at this particular question. I will give the answers and someone else can have a turn at giving a quiz question.
The answer to part A was that it was initially slated to be released without a Japanese language track. And this had many in the fan community up in arms so to speak. Miramax made a good decision to listen.
In part B, I was looking for the fact that all of Miyazaki's domestic releases are usually voiced by A list American actors as opposed to the common voice actors used for the purpose of dubbing in English. And it should be noted that even the English language dialogue is more of an accurate translation of the original Japanese script as opposed to other anime releases. There are less liberties taken with the English script and Miyazaki has been known to sit in on the English dubbing process so even the tone of the dub matches that of the original Japanese counterpart.
Your answer about Disney as a major source of support and advertisement was good as well. Again, thank you for taking time out to answer the challenge.
