Huh, well how about that. I'll have to check this out for myself come next friday at my local comic store. I passed up on the Civil War What If? since it just didn't seem to grab my attention.

Lol, more like ripoff. I recall when there was a "reference" like this (was it Liefeld who drew it...?) and a Sentinel was basically EVA-01.
When in doubt about a Sentinel design, rip off anime!

The Soviet-Sentinels? I think they admitted the fact for this Model and that one.
I love it when artists do things like this. I heard that there was even a Gurren-Lagann reference in DC's Countdown.
