For those who don't know its a site that has a bunch of books out of copyright for free.
Anyway, has anyone found anything good on this site? I want to get into this whole reading thing thought this would be a good way to get my fix (I'm broke so yeah I like free) however I'm not good at finding stuff to look up and yeah. So restating my question, has anyone used this site and found good books worth giving a read?

(Disclaimer: I was put on to this site by a professor, and I went in thinking it was about Police Academy. Unfortunately thats "Guttenberg", two "t"s)

Yeah! I was told about this by my prof, too.

Also, wtf? LINK to it

http://www.gutenberg.org/ <= for the lazy people like me.

I'll post again with some recommendations after I browse the site again. It's been a while; thanks for bringing it back to my attention, though. ^^

There's lots of good reading material there. For example, their literature collection includes such novels as Treasure Island, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, and some good Christmas books such as A Christmas Carol.

(Chousho) The link is http://www.gutenberg.org/, not "gutenburg" with a "U."

Quite a lot of classic literature is there. In particular, I can recommend the works of:

Geoffrey Chaucer
O Henry
Edgar Allen Poe
Jonathan Swift
Mark Twain

Oh, Bernard, Bernard. It doesn't matter to me if it's a black sheep, white sheep, asian sheep or antarctic sheep (although the black sheep do tend to have a little more wiggle in the back *wink*). All sheep are created equal.

*cough*quickly hits post and searches for Black Sheep, Black Sheep*cough*

Pride and Prejudice was actually the first book I downloaded upon rediscovering gutenberg. A friend of mine has been telling me to read it for a while now, though I still haven't looked at it.

And we cannot forget Immanuel Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. Sublime and engrossing prose make this a sure-fire must-read!
