For all fans of RahXephon check out the rather unknown title, Shin-getter (http://www.shin-getter.net/) has been fansubbing it. Most people say RahXephon was completely influenced by Evangelion but thats not true

"The director of RahXephon has said this series is meant to be a sort of modern-day Raideen.
As such there are similarities between Raideen and RahXephon, particularly in the titular "robots".
Akira Hibiki and Ayato Kamina both have mothers who are from a race called the "Mu". This in turn means that both Akira and Ayato have Mu blood.
Akira and Ayato both "meld" into a surface in order to enter the cockpit of their respective robot. Akira enters via Reideen's forehead; Ayato can enter the RahXephon both directly and through a portal that is separate from the body of the RahXephon.
The Raideen and the RahXephon both are portrayed as intelligent, sentient beings and possess similar general aesthetics, particularly the human-like face that is covered on the sides. Both can attack with their voices, and can form a bow with arrows as well as a sword that protrudes out of their right arms."

Now that its being fansubbed with more wide viewing if you notice any other similarities please post them. I still need to catch up, only watched the first few episodes but plan to watch more soon.

Thanks, but I think you should immediately remove any references to fansubbing, both indirectly and by link - even if that particular groups seems to be concentrating on shows that never were licensed internationally. The link in particular would break the rules of the forum.

There are also two Raideen re-makes. One is from 1996-1997: Reideen the Superior. RahXephon's director said that "that's not my Raideen". The other one is from 2007 and is simply called Reideen. It was made by Production I.G., known for works like Ghost in the Shell and Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade.

Should be fine, we've linked that site many times here. Prons has it in his sig. As long as it doesn't have licensed anime the mods don't really mind, especially with releases like this where the chances of us ever getting a release of any of these are next to none.

Oh good then. This is what fansubbing really should be about: Instead of multiple fansub groups competing with each other (with lots of forum drama and nerd rage) to get the subtitles out first to popular shows that will be licensed anyway, they should do more like this and subtitle shows that are interesting historically, or new shows that won't be licensed because they're too niche or otherwise unacceptable for international licensing. (Because of 3rd party rights infringement issues, social conventions, or whatever.)

The mods don't mind, because even John watches our subs.

Thanks to Levon for giving props to us fansuber folk :P

Superior Raideen was nasty, while Reideen was good, but not great. Both are inferior to Classic Raideen.

Production I.Gs Reideen is considered to be pretty average, most of I.G's best staff where working on Seirei no Moribito a.k.a Guardian of the Sacred Spirit anyway.
