Which is better? The Manga or the Anime?

Surprised no to find one of these polls in here. I have only watch a few of the first episodes of the anime and Vol. 1 of the manga. I preferred the manga myself.

Well, the manga's more up to date, and plotwise I like the manga. However, for the fight scenes, the manga can't compare to the anime. *can't wait for Zoro vs Ryuuma to be animated*

For One Piece I really prefer watching the anime. When it comes to fighting series I nearly always enjoy the anime more since it's easier to see what's going on. Sometimes with explosions, breaking through walls and all that stuff is hard to figure out what is what in manga. I also think the comedic level goes up a notch since the seiyuu are some of the best in the business. Another thing, sometimes in the manga it's a sky view when lots of the characters are talking and it's hard to know who's saying what right away. But I also really love the manga and if there were never an animated alternative it would still be one of my favorites.

I like both, but I prefer the manga. I think the manga is perfectly executed while the anime has some shortcomings because of it's limited budget.

Although the arlong arc made a bigger impact on me when I saw the anime version. I swear they put more effort into episode 36.

Actually I liked how the first couple episodes were rewritten and were out of order from the manga. Tying Nami in the very beginning of series was a nice touch.

Despite those reasons I still like the manga better.-_-;

I'm with Mr. Hisoka on this one, for action series I tend to lean more towards the anime. When it comes to drama, or romance I usually enjoy the manga over the anime, but there are always exceptions.

Well, I like the anime a little bit more. Not only the action scenes are easier to understand than manga, the seiyuu and soundtracks added a lot of spice to the anime. I absolutely adore the seiyuu for Zoro and Sanji. And Usopp's seiyuu showed us his extraordinary talent of fast-speach. XD

I prefer the anime overall, cause there' s sound, emotions, and it' s easier to indertand the fights. But I still love the manga though! (The manga' s art is better, and their face are regular, unlike in the anime where many people draw and they look different sometimes. Some episodes are really badly drawn I must say...)
