Ranka's > Klan's!!!! but of course I'm talking about the huge hologram.

You have no sense of scale whatsoever. They're much bigger than that.

is there any official measurements for Klan:lol: Hmmm, if a VF-25 is 18.5M, lets say she is 20M tall, or about 65Ft. If say a 5'5" tall woman with a really big rack could be like 40", or roughtly 2/3 of her heighth, Klan's bust size would be like 43' or about 516"

Well, it was a great episode and a fine close to the series.

Plenty of great Macross moments and I definitely appreciated the fact that it took a lot of firepower (and a lot of love) to kick butt in the end :) Grace's death was certainly the highlight of the episode; I've been eagerly anticipating her demise for quite some time. I really like the way she was whacked; bullseye from Mikhail's old sniper gun pod, courtesy of Klan and Alto.

Well, the worst definitely has NOT come to pass and I'm certainly content with the ending to Macross Frontier. This is the Macross sequel we should have had. It was a helluva long wait, but now we have it and I'm content. Overall, it's certainly less than perfect and hasn't trumped SDF Macross. But what Macross Frontier has done is served up a solid dose of classic Macross the way I wanted it; the way in which Macross is done right.

Now onto the Chronicle and hopefully many more mecha goodies coming sooner rather than later.

Oh and the Macross Frontier movie, just announced :)

DECULTURE!

excellent space battle, superbly choreographed, amazing music, but it was so rushed and the story so messed that it dropped it down a few points.

like, all of a sudden the Vajra are friends and the last 5 eps of Alto x Sheryl development gets throw out the window? come on.. i loved the Lion duet. excellent.

in the case of a movie, i seriously hope that they do finish off the triangle.

so what i'll take from this series:
Sheryl
the music
the excellent space battles
Sheryl
the ridiculously amazing final fight
Sheryl
That picture of Alto as a girl with sheryl
and that picture of sheryl in white lingerie with the headphones and mp3 player...

did i mention Sheryl?

Best Macross since Plus. Successfully got the bad taste of Zero out of my mouth. Pretty damn epic final episode.

Epic ending was epic. Seems like a long time since an anime had a decent ending. Macross F is the best show of the year so far for me. Only problem is my god, what the hell gg, the Microsoft Vista of fansubbers with their bloated files. Everyone else around maybe 175mb-200Mb, gg 300Mb+ usually, and 700Mb ep 25

Has anyone here built the Bandai 1/72 VF-25F (Alto's unit)?

If you have, where did you buy it? and how difficult was it?

Thanks in advance:).

Oh, the Klan figure that I saw was pretty cute^_^ .

How did HG not get their grubby paws on DYRL? Would they still claim ownership over it if someone tried to license it?

... wow. just rewatched it for the 3rd time, and it's still epic. especially the whole ranka+sheryl kumikyoku thing that they did towards the end. defintiely one of the best shows i've seen this year. can't wait for blu-ray.

Yeah, just watched it again, this time subtitled. This episode gets better the more you watch it. There is so much going on and so fast, you have to watch it several times for all the details and goodies to sink in. Amazing finale.

So Richard Birla was hoping the Fold Quartz connectivity would help him find the Minmay and the long lost Megaroad-01? Nice bit of allegory there to Macross fans themselves; no doubt Kawamori did that as a tounge-in-cheek homage to all the crazy fan questions about Hikaru/Misa/Minmay that he has received over the years :)

Just Saw ep 25 and it was Epic.

These last two episodes alone, had great re-working of some of my favorite sequences from the Macross TV series and Do You Remember Love? movie.

Daedalus Attack and Minmay picture ftw. I also liked how Klan stayed in the fight (jumped into the Valkyrie and went back out there to continue the fight).

Things I really liked about the series in general:

-Taking some things from Do You Remember Love?
-Glad Filipinos got to work on it
-Yoko Kanno and Co. created/used great music for the show
-Epic use of the Folding technology
- Loved the VF-25s
-Valkyrie sequences were awsome and the non-action sequences were at the very least Interesting and/or fun to watch
-The Miss Macross pageant (did Macross 7 have one?)
- The Pineapple + Macross= Evil

This series earns a spot on my personal favorites list.

I'll just throw in these two images for good measure:P .

... lol @ pineapple salad. that is always bad news. and the fact that you mentioned Pinoys working on Macross - i think i saw the names at the end credits of the first episode. i was like "THAT'S MY PEOPLES!".

good catch on the Birla angle. i was hoping that he actually succeeded in that venture, but seeing Minmay's pic alone is enough for me.

they really took a LOT of styles of Ai Oboitemasuka?, and i think the reason why they did this was to cater to the old school Macross fans who think that this might be another Macross Zero - and it isn't.

Mr March
October 6th, 2008, 06:31 AM
Thank gawd it wasn't another Macross Zero! One more of those would have buried the franchise forever.

I really appreciated the games Kawamori played in Frontier with old school Macross fans. The pineapple cake with Ozuma was hilarious; we were all expecting Ozuma would get wasted, figuring it was another homage to SDF Macross. It even happened at the same episode number as Roy's demise in the original series. But then, surprise! :)

mmmm Tuna Buns..

Yokohama Daiseikai, the museum for cuisine in the Chinatown district of Yokohama, Japan, will be selling the trademark tuna buns seen in Macross Frontier anime series from October 11 to October 19. In the science-fiction romance story, the budding singer Ranka Lee serves the buns from "The Super Dimension Restaurant Nyan-Nyan" as comic relief in more than one episode. As the name implies, the new menu item is a steamed bun (or two) stuffed with tuna. Each one will cost 500 yen (about US$5) at the third-floor Tin-Shin-En shop and will come with an exclusive sticker.

Only 100 buns will be cooked every day, except for October 13 when 300 will be served; the "Yoko Kanno Presents Macross Frontier Galaxy Tour Final" concert will be held in Yokohama on that day. The museum's Henshin-kan dress rental shop is also presenting Macross props along with its usual Chinese dresses, and a fourth-floor area will be selling limited-edition Macross Frontier goods.

Previously, the Japanese am/pm convenience stores sold official Macross Frontier Cream Puffs, and Pizza Hut sold pizzas in Macross Frontier boxes in Japan. Macross Frontier canned bread is also being sold in the Akihabara otaku shopping district of Tokyo.

Is the hand symbol really all that new in anime? I mean, it's the first time I've ever seen it in anime, but I'm not really an anime expert. Which is to say I've seen plenty of anime during my years as a fan, but even more of it I have never seen. I got the impression Ranka's hand sign was seen before in different places.
