Crayfish run for their lives

A group of crayfish spared themselves from being eaten by escaping from a restaurant.

Police in the German city of Stuttgart were called in when the crayfish escaped from an Asian restaurant.

The escape attempt was noticed by a pedestrian who spotted the crayfish scuttling down the street and notified authorities.

Apparently the crayfish had squeezed through gaps in the grating at the top of the tanks and escaped out the front door reports news.com.au.

That's hilarious! :) Go crayfish!
Reminds me of that Simpson's episode where Homer had a pet lobster.

This could be made into a Disney-Pixar movie.

I can't make any sense of this part ... we're talking about fish here, right? O_o

Maybe he's not sure why the police were called... could the crayfish be arrested for running around naked? :O Not sure what's illegal about escaped crayfish...

um sorry to break the news to you but Finding Nemo already proved that animals can escape from their cages and find the ocean all at once.

Ahh well. I just can't help finding the idea of animated Crayfish that much more fun than Clownfish. I didn't watch Finding Nemo, but if the lead character had been a Crayfish or lobster, I think I might have done. Yeah, there's no explanation for that which would make sense.

Too bad that's a CRAB. And Crawfish and crabs are mortal enemies. They have somewhat of an alliance with the lobsters, but it's not sturdy.

This probably will be made into a Disney-Pixar movie, unfortunately.

Fix'd for ultimate correctness. There is so much Disney-Pixar CG crap coming out nowadays...what happened to traditional animation?

As for the crayfish..um...yay for them?

3d animation is cool, <_< I really enjoy some of the new stuff coming out thank you.

and technology killed Disney, as it kills most franchises in this century.

As for the crayfish, they're awesome and their epic escape should be chronicled in an anthem by Rush.

Why do I get the feeling I've heard that somewhere before? Futurama? Anyhow, if Rush makes an anthem out of it, it'd likely be cool. Disney is seriously gettin' old with their CG-only agenda. With all the advances in CG and art, there's no reason why they couldn't, say, make a cel-shaded movie. I'd pay some good coin to see something like that. If Pixar made a movie with art design equivalent to that of the new Final Fantasy Tactics release, with water-color over CG, that would be breathtaking, seriously.

But I'll stop here, before I go on a rant (though I think I'll rant about it on AE).

So, they eat crayfish in Germany. I thought they only did that in Louisiana. Here in Canada I've used crayfish for fishing bait. That's a disgusting thought, people eating the same thing I put on a hook to catch bass. Some people call them mud bugs.

No, what's a disgusting thought is wasting something as delicious as a crawdad on a fishing hook. OMNOMNOMNOM. Ever had Crawfish Pie?

The thing is that I also put worms or leeches on that hook so there is an association that I can't shake off. To me crawfish equals worms and leeches. Ever had leech pie?

Well maybe you shouldn't be putting delicious freshwater lobster on your fish hooks.

I don't eat lobster either. Do you know that it shares a zoological phylum with things like cockroaches and spiders.

Anyway, I don't want to get into an argument about something as subjective as food. I'm out.

Yeah I know that. I also know that shrimp are arthropods like lobster and I eat them. I wanted to see what your rebuttal would be. Anyway, I have some Black Sabbath to listen to and some R.O.D to watch. Later.
