Procrastination. It lives in us all. In fact; as we speak, I am using this thread as a way to perform this task. I ask you, how many of you have a problem with this? Or, so to speak, how do most of you perform this task? Post on AN? watch anime? "Clean" your dorm room?

Yes, and the reason can be summed up in one word: internets.

I've always been pretty lazy at everything, yet didn't find it messed with my everyday life. However, when I started in college, it hit me like a sledgehammer. You never really beat it, but you can go beyond it if you're aware of what motivates you to accomplish or at least tackle a certain task.

I start procrastinating if I have to go for long periods without any leisure time. I end up slipping a bit and telling myself "if I can at least get this and this done done now, then I can leave this 'till tomorrow" and I can then get in an hour or so of "free" time, even though I shouldn't be doing it.

So I anticipate bouts of procrastination and work around it by working more for it by judging current mood versus how I'll feel in the approximate future that would affect my current work. Management and organisation is what I do best, so I use that.

Zing.

I procrastinate all the time. A bit too much really. I like to listen to music, play guitar, watch TV, go online, or go outside to get a way from the task at hand. Also...

...I'll get back to you on the rest...

I procrastinate a lot, but always get stuff on time. No one but me seems to understand why I do it, either; reason being is that fear is the great motivator. I never worry about turning in stuff, because I've never once forgotten anything thanks to procrastination.

Weird way of putting it, I know.

I'm the king of Procrastination. I'll make any excuse not to do anything.

I like to sleep therefore I shall.

i'm addicted to Wow but I'm bored of it at the same time. I rather sleep then get to lvl 70 and sleep is getting boring too. I need a job, but I'll soon get bored of that.

...procrastinating on getting a Girlfriend.

In a sad way I'm doing that too. but it's more of peer pressure then actual Procrastination, and then again I tend to stare off into space whenever I talk to girls.

Hey, that was my excuse... <_<

Oh well, time to do homework. :crybaby:

Homework? what is this homework you speak of?

I procrastinate on everything from taking medication to using the bathroom! Those both can result in some very, very sad things.

Yes, internet and games don't help, Its why I gave up on ever getting anywhere in college, as I haven't been able to overcome this problem since middle school.

Oh gees I'm just feeling the effects of the internet on my future career as a Graphic Designer >_< in other words, it's out the window if I can't pull myself off this damn forum.

Procrastinating takes too much work, I try to put it off until I need to.

I, uhh, seem to procrastinate a bit, actually. It's not usually out of laziness, but because I try to over-think the "how" and logistics behind what I want to do rather than actually putting a plan (any plan) into action at an early time. It's more that I don't like redoing things, so doing it the first time is the best option to me. Of course, to do it the first time and be happy, I have to do it perfectly, with no possibility of future flaws being shown. ~sigh~ At least, this is what I told my professor was the reason I didn't have my take home midterm handed in on time ;D

Kidding, I did get it in on time.

I think....

... crap, brb.

Yeah, I procrastinate a lot. It either comes down to last minute something, or just doing it quickly, and then lazing around (at least until I go to the gym) for a bit. Video games and internet are probably the contributor to it, lol.

I have a million excuses for procrastinating, and the majority of them are valid. For example, I didn't finish my homework for today because I was in a car accident yesterday- never mind that there was no actual damage done to me or my car, I just ended up hung up on the median. *shrugs* It's not my fault that I'm prone to convenient disasters.

I usually hurry up to do whatever my job is at first, but always slow down and procrastinating to finish things up later. ^^; Sleep is my friend, especially when I'm depress. Now I'm trying to study how to make a homepage with advance HTML script and CSS online, yet as always I just keep postpone doing it until the time is right. ^^;;

Procrastinate? Pshh, when don't I do it? I should be studying for a midterm tomorrow, but I just convinced myself I can do my studying in the morning since I wake up early enough. Little do I know that I never do anything in the morning cause I HATE mornings, so that won't happen. wait wat
