I prefer white phosphorous over thermite. Burns hotter, and longer. Plus it can reignite after being put out. Lovely stuff

Thermite is fun, but remember, kids: don't look directly at the flame. Or stand anywhere near it. Or ignite it anywhere near moisture. Unless the moisture happens to be a carpenter ant nest that you're trying to get rid of, in which case they pop like firecrackers.
