There are adapters for cellular internet that fit in to the PCMCIA slot. They tend to be slow and you pay by the kilobyte. Don't know about satellite.

From what I can tell the Sprint one is the best but not to sure if you need to be signed to them, that to me would be the biggest deterent. Just go looking and ask your phone providers.

I was told by more than one mobile specialist that the better card out their right now is from Verizon. Their USB 720 card is more convenient than an air card because it USB compatible with most current computers. It can give any computer, whether it is a laptop or a desktop, access to the internet. And this is within their network coverage as well. I was told that even on a train you can get service. Basically, wherever you are able to get cell service, you should get internet access.

They have two speeds, National Access, which is a bit slower and in areas where their Broadband coverage is not available.

Second one is Broadband Acess (Rev-A) which is pretty damn fast.

You can research this more on your own. It might be worth you while.
