Hookahs aren't illegal...at least here they aren't. I enjoy the occasional hookah, although its been a while since I've done any. The best counterpart to weed, since those kind of smokers are jokers.

I am pretty allergic to cigarette smoke myself, plus i REALLY cant stand the smell of it. But hookah is flavored right? So it doesnt sound nearly as bad.

I dont even know if any hooka tobacco is sold around here, but we do have ahead shop that sells "tobacco pipes" and I'm sure that they sell hookah "bongs" because one was captured at a big party one time that had weed in it.
But I've never been i nthere so they might sell flavored tobacco

Some of them just moved their smoking room outside. The inside of the building is just a cloakroom, a bar, and a place to get your hookah and supplies. The outside is a yard enclosed on only one side (avoids the ban) with comfy seats and those terribly wasteful heater-on-a-stick things.

There is sometimes more than one hose allowing for social use. The type of tobacco which is consumed in a hookah is usually sweetened in some way, often with honey. It can also have fruit extracts or aromatic oils mixed in.

Sounds very different to regular tobacco, but I never tried it. I've given up smoking now, so I probably never will.

I'm honestly not sure if shisha is another name for a hookah or for the type of tobacco product that you smoke in one. I know "shisha" redirects to "hookah" in Wikipedia, so they are certainly related.

It's not made/added to to be more addictive like big tobacco, but it's apparently got severalfold the amount of carcinogens and such.

Yeah, there's a bunch of arguments over the comparative levels of harm done by shisha tobacco and cigarettes, but it all depends how much and how often you smoke, and if you're realy paranoid about it you can just smoke the new herbal mollasses stuff; "100% nicotine free, 100% tar free", as it says on the box. And it doesn't taste too bad, either, if I say so myself... you don't get quite the same rush, but it's... pleasant.^_^

There's a hookah bar pretty close to here called Coblestone. We used to hang out there every friday night in high school. You could smoke inside or outside, but we usually went outside for fresh air. You can rent 1 hookah for $20 or you can buy your own for $100 I think. Only thing I didn't like about it was the smell stuck to your clothes so when I went home I had to be careful not to get close to my parents cause they definitely didn't want me smoking anything. It's not addicting really, I don't miss it much.
